@yusefwii (Sorry about that last response, didn't read correctly). Unfortunately, you need Half-Life 2 to play these games. The good news is, Half-Life 2 is like $10 at this point. You may need the other Half-Life 2 episodes, but even then, "The Orange Box" is only like $20.

If there was only a fast moving horde it will be more fun. They should edit the mod for a better sense of gameplay for the ZM so he can reallyput a challenge up. And the weapons are a little to cartoony. But it's good I have to say. Just needs a few tweaks that's all.

zombie master is still a great mod. I can't compare to to lfd 1 or 2 because they are very different. In left 4 dead it uses an A.I director which sends zombies on u depending how well ur doing, but zombie master put both fps with strategy gameplay, its a bold move and very hard to work, to be honest when I 1st heard about this mod I had my doubts, but somehow they make it work well even though there are some minor bugs they still pull it off. I recommend anyone to get this mod.

Yes. A "Zombie Master" is required in order to create zombies for the players to fight. If nobody is the zombie master, levels will be empty.

@agentnumalol In my experience, no. If you choose the option to prefer being just a survivor, there's usually someone who's chosen to do both on a given server.

I personally enjoy both aspects of the game, especially when I win as the ZM :P

zombie master is like the idea of the AI director (controlled number and placement of zombies)

No, the ZM has something called resources and the zombies cost him resources to spawn, but if you somehow got like 999999999999999 resources you still can't spawn how many you want, there is always a limit of zombies (normally: 75) but if you really want to spawn those zombies you can relingquish other zombies to get room for new zombies.

In fact, ZM is NOT L4D. It's different, a lot. You can like them both, or like only one. Or like nothinh, they're just two other things. You will spawn only in the beginning of a round - 1 person will be ZM, and that's the one that declared wanting being ZM, or have a highest amount of points (in case noone/more than 1 person wants to be ZM).

After you die, you die, traditionally there is no respawn in ZM, but there are a lot server modification, so it'll differ (same case as RPG mod for HL2).
