  • a little tip, when you play a song, one you really know, close your eyes and feel the pain behind the music, the sadness, just feel it,it will sound like your playing a Stradivarius and like your a pro. feel the music

  • @kodikodiful im pretty sure the only way to "feel" music isnt just to close your eyes...do understand the dedication that goes into learning how to play the fiddle and the music...im pretty sure its evident that she loves this music by her dedication alone...and you have no qualifications to tell another human being whether they love the music they play i hate that people can comment whatever they want simply because there is a comment box thinking theyre master of the art. SMH

  • oh and you play "alot" of violin, your an expert at feelings though right. just shut up because you really come across as smug and arrogant.

  • Beautiful, how old is that fiddle ??

  • spiritual, inspired. This is a gift of immense healing power :-)

  • She has the neeaaaaaa ....... You either have it or u haven't....... She just has it in droves.....fleadhs have there own agenda and are never able to provide a true reflection of a natural gift like this ..... Hope she realises how good she is or jealousy from others will knock her confidence......begrudgers r alway attracted to trying to dampen shining lights like this...hope she gets support in handling and enjoying her gift.....xxx!

  • It's a tricky tune, it has three sharps.

  • Wunderful ! What must she do for "kicks". Plays fiddle you rekon ?

Whatever it is I hope she takes good care of herself !

  • Brilliant! Beautiful control over what she's doing and the anticipation for the reel was great.

  • anyone know what wood that is?

  • Violins are traditionally made, almost without exception, from a very small range of woods (these being considered the optimum choice for their acoustic and physical properties): spruce for the belly; maple for the back, sides neck and bridge; and ebony for the fingerboard and tailpiece. Spruce and maple are naturally blond woods. The dark colouring is due to the varnish and decades of aging.

A beautiful fiddle, indeed, but it takes a great player to make it sound this good.

  • ...this being a reply to RatherCrunchyMuffin's question.

  • I am a Norwegian that have played and loved Irish music for the last 15 years for a living, but there is a sadness, soul and yet hopeful tone when the music is played by Irish musicians that I just cannot produce!

Guess you have to be born and raised there.

    Wonderful performance!!

  • @stibbe70 trust me my friend..Im Irish But live in America..If yet you can feel the tone..you feel the love..This goes to " everyone " If a guitar can get you moving..drums can get you bouncing.. and a fiddle can get you crying..then you are my brother/sister..God Speed
