The phone bit is great, the music player is great, the GPS is ok but the web browser and the touch screen fail miserably

You can download a different browser and the touch screen is the best resistive I've tried yet. Also: Best. camera. EVER!

Compaired to the iphone/touch it is not that good.

I found myself having to repress the screen due to lack of sensitivity and yes I went through 2 in 1 month! Software issue with the first 1 and a speaker issue with the second. The only saving grace for me was the camera.

OMG...u need ot two times mean u can change it in touch settings not dat its not sensitive, iphone has no video call also...dude, I m totally kool with software issues also :P

Pressure sensitve screens are pants period. I know all about calibrations and settings and I still hate it.

How many people do you see walking round on video calls? It doesn't have video calls but it does have the best apps and I use it as a mobile portfolio. Multi touch, pinch zooming and all axis rotation.

I gave the satio 2 goes and it failed 2 times

its the same phone, the Idou was the codename for the prototype, Satio is the production name, (nothing has been changed,)

No. TV is for watching TV on the phone. The phone probably got DMB which is needed to watch TV on phones. It can also be a branding for an tele-operator or something.

It wouldn't be bravia. Sony ericsson usually design their phones for what it is meant to be. Just look at the design of the bravia phone in japan but what I know is that idou would have many versions. Their would be the walkman version and the cyber-shot version. But those are just rumours and I think there is a big chance that it wouldn't happen because it contradicts the entertainment unlimited

Very interesting theory! Considering also 16:9 aspect of Idou's display, this wallpaper on the phone shown at the end of this video which looks similiar to Bravia ad design. Also design of this phone itself looks really plain and its similar to Bravia TV's. Unfortunately please notice, that Walkman brand is "big" at music playing, Cyber-Shot is big in photo taking but Bravia? in HD TV. Idou doesn't have HD video recording like Samsung Omnia and it doesn't have any TV out..

So I think it's just Walkman + Cyber-Shot miexed together but it doesn't gives you a TV features. Also Sony Ericsson presented is a phone which combine those two brands and they didn't mentioned TV. BTW. Does anyone know how mobile TV broadcast works in Europe?

exactly ! because the phone has not been unveiled officially. no one knows exactly what video recording features it offers, or what internal memory. Idou is just a concept. the official name and brand and model will be unveiled in june. they did'nt mention TV because thats their secret. if you seen around you will notice SE did'nt want people to check the menus or the camera features on Idou because it was purely still in development. and the TV is DVB-T i believe. so its Digital signal.

it ok, but if sony really wants to knock off evry1 else from the competition it has to go and create an entire new concept, to me this is just another candy bar phone which brings sum new things but again its just another touch screen phone, perhaps in the near future we can see, finger recognition technology just like in the movies i mean cmon its almost 2010 ten yrs, U.S. doesnt offer conference calls and were far behind european carriers which are almost ready to bring 4G by next yr i heard
