Basically what he's saying is the game is good but it's good compared to movie tie in games. You can't say this is worth $50. I mean you can beat it in a day on the hardest difficulty. Movie tie ins are shit. This one isn't. It's good compared to mediocrity. I'm going to rent it later today because I want to play it but I know it's not gonna blow me away or be some insane unique game. Even the most die hard fans of this game can't say that it's like a 9/10. Look at other 9/10 games. Not as good.

@checking4fun123 Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The God of War style of gameplay has been useful in a couple games, including this and Dante's Inferno. And, personally, Dante's Inferno was pretty damn good. Now, this game could have probably tried something....different, but hey, it worked.

@bowserkid9 The issue here is that it's a shallow, dumbed-down version of the GoW formula. They shouldn't try to imitate something that they can't do well; besides that, I have the entire GoW franchise to choose from if I want the authentic GoW experience.

If a game has dull, non-intuitive game play then it's not worth playing. If I wanted to watch the Green Lantern movie or any number of its animes then I'd do so. Essentially, what the reviewer is saying is you play it for the story. . .blah.

And I wanted to know what happened next - and Uncharted 2 had the same gameplay mechanics, but a deeper story. It was good.

And the GoW formula works well for some games, bad for others. I get it. I think it works well here, because otherwise we'd have...well, crap, probably.

In the game Amon Saur (Abin Saur's son) gains custody of his father's body, but not in the movie. Sinestro was not seen doing a mission/task like this, on the movie Sinestro only beat up Hal Jordan when he was a beginner, talk to the guardians, and only get a group of the strongest Green Lantern killed by Parillax.

In the movie the enemy was one of their own guardians, but in the game the enemy is robots *The Man Hunters\ "Steel Heads".

well i just rented this game and I gotta say its not that bad. It is a movie based game, a mediocre one BUT its actually fun in a budget game kinda way. Just beating up bad guys using green laterns powers is super fun and playing through with a buddy makes it better. The use of the powers is obviously the highlight. One thing I will say that everyone should notice is its obviously not $60 but once it gets down in price I may pick it up just for the hell of it.
