They have thrown so much money away in cornwall on tourism crap, we have a summer of barely two months if we are lucky, why didn't they create industry jobs in mining and fishing etc etc. My father worked for Penwith council for years and was sad to see it centralised in Truro!

@cornwallgeezer . I think the plan is to strip the area of jobs that produce anything. Like fishing, mining. Make everyone dependent upon foreign sources....end self sufficiency and thus make relations with outside countries necessary. Cornwall is beautiful, but the locals need good productive jobs.

The new constitution is in the form of another treaty. This should show everyone that they are not to be trusted. The French and the Dutch turned down this. Only a few words changed and now it is a treaty. The EU superstate is not going to give up that easy!

The EU is very fortuitous for Wales. Our principality wil receive £1.5 bn in the next few years for mainly grants for business. In what is the poorest UK region. EVen Northern ireland (45% pop. of Wales) has higher GNP !!...

I believe they redistribute wealth, but at what price. Cornwall is in a similar situation with projects financed by the EU in many places. They buy their way into areas and at a price.

The EU idea is to control. This is the post Democratic Era as certain people have deceided that Democracy was not really a good idea after all. Certain checks and balances have to be taken away like right to trial by Jury, Presumption of Innosence, Double Jeopardy, local control and the like. The Dictats of the European Commission are rubber stamped by the EU Parliament, one minute to debate each, thousands of laws just passed through from an unelected European Commission.

There will not be rules written by England Scotland or Wales they are all coming from Brussels. All these former countries are now officailly just regions of the EU. England is split in to nine regions on the Brusselss map. Each region has its own assembly and very shortly there will be no central point in England (Parliament). Brussles dictates. Recommend you Google regionalisation and get the full story the media and politicians are not telling you.

My freinds, I don't care if Parliament passes laws or the Welsh Assembly, all I want is Wales to have her own laws like Scotland. As I said earlier, I can't care who passes it for as long as Wales is equal, with her own laws within the U.K. or independent.
