Not understanding the flapper idea. When you are driving the flap will want 2 close from the passing air at speed causing back pressure on your exhaust system. if you had a straight stack vertically would make sense to keep rain out. but i would mount them back wards so the want to stay open while driving.

Even some tractor trailer rigs have those flappers (and we're talking horsepower) and they flap when they idle. I would of taken those things off for sure when that truck was purchase or modified your exhaust to some stacks. The more I look at those, the more I think your trying to keep them varmints from crawling inside your pipe.
i have taken the lights off, and the flapper i put on for fun ive got a better 4inch exhaust now.

but ive also learned that if your trucks gvwr weight is over 8600 then its not considered a car and the exhaust law doesent apply.

One of the mines actually did an engine swap on a 06 super duty with a kit they purchased online. Granted powerstrokes do have their fair share of problems but they said that they basically traded one set of problems for another. I get swapping engines in old trucks, in fact i actually think its kinda cool but swapping engines in new trucks is just dumb.

i just did it for the hell of it because nobody else did,now that i took the exhaust off im going to straight pipe it and put it infront of the right rear wheel.

you have to remove the tamper proof screw on the back of the injector pump and get a 10m wrench and losen the nut and then you need a 3m allen wrench or allen driver and turn it in till it is flush with the nut and the tighten the nut down and then turn the allen head screw to the right just a little to make sure it dont move.
ya because befor my truck had no power like if you steped on it it would just go faster it wouldnt get up and go or spool but after i turned the star while up it stop going in to od or if it dose go in i have to keep it to the floor

to run---the fuel solenoid, and check out fordcummins(dot)com,,lol

no, if your truck is stock i would only recomend turning it up half a turn.
any more then that it floods itself. but for the best power gain you need to get a fuel plate

Im not scared,but its not worth it when i need the cab and front end to fix my dually. and the throw out bearing is coming out and the clutch is slipping.
About trucks beating a "d tuned civic" there are trucks that are burning vipers and running under 8 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
Plus an I-6 vtech wouldnt even turn the tires over, let alone move 6500+ pounds of truck.

Pre-Boost screw turned all the way in,number 10 fuel plate,4 inch exhaust,K&N cold air intake.

playing with me? why were you bouncing off the rev limiter before you shifted? and when i raced you you didnt have a turbo. or else you would have went on.
and the sad part is is your claiming to be sand bagging against a truck whos clutch was slipping while still sandbagging.
Now if you dont believe me you can ask my friend who was riding with me that night.

burnt my ass once? the last i remember your front end was at my driver side door and i had you by a hood, and once we started down the hill i had a black SUV infront of me stopping at a redlight so i let off so i could slow down in time.
