  • cause rain is gonna pour into a horizontal pipe!!! when you have stacks then get flapped!! so until then get stacked!!!

  • Get stacks. Then put the flapper on

  • why in the hell is the first video suggestion on this video is "the people of walmart"??

  • What's with the flapper

  • gotta love the '97, mine has 263K miles on it.

  • @WhOwns mine only has 131k :)

  • @1tirefryer I'm jealous. But it stays sick with high mileage. 12 valve is indestructable

  • @WhOwns Hell yeah man she still got a lot of life left on her

  • @1tirefryer damn right

  • That's bad ass haha

  • hey were did u get that flapper at

  • why?? :)

  • what's the point? it doesn't do shit

  • look like he got it on the wrond side.

  • Are you from Wytheville, VA?

  • @AlpineRyan yes i am

  • @tombstone4u sweet. I am from Abingdon. I have a F250 7.3L and a 24 valve Cummins.

  • Not understanding the flapper idea. When you are driving the flap will want 2 close from the passing air at speed causing back pressure on your exhaust system. if you had a straight stack vertically would make sense to keep rain out. but i would mount them back wards so the want to stay open while driving.

  • one question. why?

  • were u worried about the mice getting up in there or what? take that dam thing off and get a 5 or 6 inch stainless tip with a 4 inch system

  • All I have to ask is why!

  • flappers are meant for stacks, hillbilly

at least mount it straight up & down....

  • why in the fuck do you have a flapper on a horizontal pipe? its ment to keep rain and stuff out of VERTICAL stacks

  • shoulda turned it to where it hangs down that way it flaps more

  • ive got stacks on my '99 cummins and know alot of people with them i live in roanoke, va no cops have messed with me about them and it passed inspection with them

  • lol i'd do it too ... haha very nice

  • its called a chatter cap meng

  • Very cool!

  • haha that is badass bro

  • you have spent too much time at Tractor Supply Co.

  • @trd1717

actually i got it from fowlkes machine company in wytheville. lol, we just recently got a tractor supply and i love that place.

  • @trd1717 nothing wrong with spending too much time at tractor supply. lol

  • this honestly the dumbest fuckin thing I've ever seen. flappers are meant to keep rain out of yur STACK. so why the hell do you have one on your horazontal TAILPIPE???

  • why put a flapper on the tailpipe?

  • why dont you get some stacks then put flappers on theres no good reason for them to be on a side exhaust

  • the point of a flapper is to cover the exhaust so water doesnt get in its not a cosmetic thing. this is just fucking stupid

  • why...WHY would you put a flapper on a truck exhaust ? -_-

  • and while your driving down the road at 70 and the air is pushing it shut...dunno why my egts went up....but its still cool haha

  • it might actually flap if it was mounted vertical... maybe?

  • that was the dumbest thing i have ever seen

  • that is the stupidest thing ive ever seen

  • what a laugh.............

  • does it rain completely sideways where you're from?

  • So... the rain was gettin' in der an rustin' outcher eshaust sysdim??

  • hahahaaa!!!!

  • Why?

  • Go for some old John Deere tractor stacks. Forget that playboy Dodge chrome stuff! Clever idea by the way

  • flaps... on a horizontal pipe? um... okay... :/

  • @tombstone4u, so if your truck is pushing that much air as you say, you mean to tell me that tractors that do have those on don't compare to your truck? Even some tractor trailer rigs have those flappers (and we're talking horsepower) and they flap when they idle. I would of taken those things off for sure when that truck was purchase or modified your exhaust to some stacks. The more I look at those, the more I think your trying to keep them varmints from crawling inside your pipe.

  • i have taken the lights off, and the flapper i put on for fun ive got a better 4inch exhaust now.

ive pulled antique tractors for years tractors idle alot lower then trucks do specially john deere 2 cylinders.

as for the big rigs i honestly dont know why they flap for them and not mine, but when i had my truck at an idle it would just hold itself open and wouldnt flap. unless i tapped the throttle pedal.

stacks are illegal where i live in virginia so i cant run them

  • the reason it won't flap is the angle that it is hung on there i think. if it was straight up and down it might do it

  • so you meen Tracktor Trailors can have stacks, but your pick up cant? thats the dumbest law iv ever heard! Where im from as long as the damn truck passes e-test and isnt too loud, they dont give a shit what you put on it. lol thats sucks though. Im looking at getting a 97 Cummins myself, and the first thing im doing is installing stacks (When I have enough extra cash that is) lol

  • @WetDirtProductions yeah tractor trailers can have stacks here but according to the laws here your truck must have a factory exhaust system OR a system that muffles the same as stock

but ive also learned that if your trucks gvwr weight is over 8600 then its not considered a car and the exhaust law doesent apply.

  • @tombstone4u dude that sucks missouri has no gay law like that we all run either stacks or striaghts out the back

  • @tombstone4u Damn, what kind of communist state do you live in where you are not alowed to have stack's!

  • @tombstone4u

the tractor trailers flap because when they shift the rpms dip so low it relives the pressure it occurs between shifts

  • its not really called a flaper its called a rain cap its meant to keep the rain water out of vertical stacks and when it is on a system like this it is really only for looks

  • @firjjm The reason they flap on tractors, and rigs is because the flappers are sitting right side up, not sideways, so gravity pulls them down.

Just clearing that up for you..

  • @chevy3434 It still doesn't make sense to put them flappers in a horizontal position and prior to 8 sec, you can't tell me that gravity is pulling that sucker in a close position.

If you know what I mean.

  • What does the flapper do? Or it just for looks?

  • That's the most stupidest thing I've ever seen! It doesn't even do its flapping as its design to do.......geez. You must really be bored in Virginia. And those High Dollar lamps under the rear bumper.......bet that took a few recycled beer cans.

  • @firjjm actually those were on it when i bought the truck. and its not going to flap when the truck pushes so much air out idling.

  • ha that's pretty funny

  • HAHA

    Alan Jackson!

    Nice Vid

  • diesel rice!

  • there is a new bred of diesel ricers and this is one guy that is one.

  • haha

  • @f44life i hate ricers period, i just did it for a few laughs, now i have a new turbo back 4 inch exhaust dumped right out at the right rear tire.

  • i figured you did it for a laugh, just checking ha ha

  • flapper on stock exhaust. really? cmon...

  • @TotalDiesel lol its not stock, that was 4 inch exhaust. it was on it when i bought the truck.

  • if i'm not mistaken, flappers are for stacks? defeats the purpose of mounting it sideways cause then it wont flap? ....lol?

  • NICE VIDEO

interesting i think i might do that

    :)

  • :( not cool sorry. Sounds great though!

  • Sick truck man but the flapper........c'mon....

  • sick hahaha

  • hahaha I would put that on my Jetta tdi just as a joke!

  • guys stfu he prob has it so mice din crwl in ther

  • Gaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy the flapper thats it

  • Maybe on a stack but why in the hell would you put a flapper on an exhaust that exits in its stock location?????

  • dunno...didnt get the memo....?

  • @ontimeeverytime hahaha

  • its something to do

  • i was just messin around

  • your boats probly sinkin homey

  • i personally like to beat the shit out of what i own and i expect it to take it

  • i like powerstroke but 6.0 sucks... 7.3 is the good one

  • id rather be cummin than strokin

  • same here

  • lol, that is so funny, do you not know that the flapper is designed to work on a vertical plane? it serves no purpose

  • Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax, Detroit, I drive whatever the hell I can afford to buy! They all make great engines. Better than any gasser!

  • whats the point of that?

  • What the fuck ....STUPID...

  • That will work great when you roll your truck on its side.

  • dont say that, my dad flipped our other dodge.

  • Flappers are for stacks so rain doesnt go down the exhaust get some common sense.

  • thats the dumbest thing iv seen in a loooong time dude.. what the fuck were u thinking..? "ill make an ass of myself on youtube!" ??

  • train by 3 doors down

  • Cool flapper but...in my opinion, if it had stacks and the flapper, it would be awesome. Sounds like a sweet truck though...5 stars!!

  • the 7.3 aint much of a motor, its more of a boat anchor. if it was the best diesel motor for ford they wouldnt of stopped making it. but they were having to many problems. and the 6.0 and 6.4 have so many problems too. thats why you dont settle of a powercroke and get a cummins.

  • your a fucking idiot they stopped 7.3 because of emissions you fucking faggot. the 7.3 is the best diesel motor not just for ford but made.

  • what an idiot you are xxsmallbrain, lol

look up cummins in ford swap, then powershit in dodge swap

what did you find idiot, and there is

a very good reason, powerstrokemeoff SUCKS PIG NUTTS !!!!!!!

  • And have you ever talked to someone who has done the engine swap to a real honest to god work truck? Its a collossal pain in the ass, none of the gauges work, they heat like a motherfucker, and if you have any warrenty left on your truck it completely voids it. Not that Im dissin on cummins but if your gonna waste the time and money swappin a powerstroke for a cummins your fuckin retarded.

  • ive done a swap myself, on an 84' chevy the older cummins is a one wire setup

to run---the fuel solenoid, and check out fordcummins(dot)com,,lol

before you call all those ford lovers

    fucken retarded, power strokes

SUCK ASS in real work trucks my uncle

    broke a rod at 90,000 miles in a 7.3

fact ! we beat the SHIT out of our cummins and the only complaint is

the POS dodge body falling apart.....

  • I used to work at a ford dealership in Gillette and we saw all kinds of trucks that came out of the mine. One of the mines actually did an engine swap on a 06 super duty with a kit they purchased online. Granted powerstrokes do have their fair share of problems but they said that they basically traded one set of problems for another. I get swapping engines in old trucks, in fact i actually think its kinda cool but swapping engines in new trucks is just dumb.

  • i dont know about new stuff but alot of ppl are doin it, i dont like the ECM crap

but i do own an 06 dodge cummins and

love it i had a gmc--gods mechanical curse, lol they bought that turd back

and i went inline and never will go

back, on the ECM engines they do

produce better HP TQ and Mialage

but i like the feel of the old 12 valve CTDs

  • cummins are like condoms every dick has to have one im so sick of people hateing on fords theres NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM!!! and i drive a dodge and a ford so im not a prejadice asshole

  • if there is nothing wrong then,, why all the swaps ? lol

and dont sell me short prick ! im the whole ass ! not ass hole....

  • fuck you dude youre just like everyone else says fords suck just cause everyone else does

    NEVER LATE WITH A V8

  • and what the fuck is with all you people hateing on fords WHY DONT WE BOTH ADMIT THAT THEY BOTH MAKE GOOD TRUCKS AND BEAT UP ON SHITTY DURAMAXES EVER FUCKING STOP TO THINK ABOUT THAT?????

  • because facts are facts, V8 diesels suck pig nutts, thats why you dont

see them overwhelmingly in OTR big rigs.........

and yes this account is mine also as it says on the page

  • aaww ur just soo full of yourself hahaha aint that sweet sorry buddy but sayin ford sucks dont do shit fords the best get the flying fuck over it

  • Comment removed

  • the 7.3 di was a good motor

  • fuck a cummins tj get ya a powerstroke and we will talk

  • lol how do you know my name? O_o

  • thats kinda creepy

  • and cummins will always beat powerstroke

plus the only good powerstroke was the 7.3 other than that all junk

  • yeah, 7.3l was the best motor ford ever had.

the 6.0 and 6.4's are junk

  • the 6.7 will be junk to

for some reason i just think it will

  • its called emissions, thats why

  • splogdogg sucks a big dick every night a cummins will spank a powerjok anyday

  • Comment removed

  • um i got a 94 and its still good 95 is actually when they started having problems

  • Comment removed

  • you take yours out to the beach?

  • Comment removed

  • oh well im getting ready to move down towards some beaches and was wondering what tires and stuff are good for sand i 35's supers on it now

  • old school! lol 2009 not 80's!

  • seriously? im laughing. like i do at ricers. because everything they do is pointless. like a flapper on factory exhaust..... you know that those are to protect rain from getting in the exhuast on big trucks right? to keep the exhuast from rusting? (big truck = peterbilt, kenworth, international, frieghtliner, autocar, white, mack, diamond rio, etc.)

  • that is not a factory exhaust, that exhaust is 4 inch.

i just did it for the hell of it because nobody else did,now that i took the exhaust off im going to straight pipe it and put it infront of the right rear wheel.

this was just something for fun, i know what a rain cap is for, we use them on our tractors.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah thats how i got my exhaust now, who ever had the truck before me ran it 3-3.5- to 4 into the mufler then out.

the exhaust now is four inch from the turbo back.

  • haha i love it

  • Rain does go sideways. Dad drove a peterbilt that had the stack facing where the rain was coming and when he fired it up it must of poured out a gallon of water.

  • dude you are F-U-C-K-I-N-G RETARDED. You really think rain is gonna come in your exhaust, make it up OVER the axle bend, up the exhaust, then UP the downpipe? hahahah lmao. I would laugh my ass off if I seen you runnin down the road.

  • i did it for the hell of it. if you got a problem with it you dont have to watch the video.

  • whats the point of that the rains not going to go side ways

  • ...rain does go sideways...ever seen snow? its just frozen rain. :|

  • Rain can go sideways, just ask Ollie for the blackie weather reports.

  • umm flapper = rain cap

  • and what you have to do to turn the screw up

  • you have to remove the tamper proof screw on the back of the injector pump and get a 10m wrench and losen the nut and then you need a 3m allen wrench or allen driver and turn it in till it is flush with the nut and the tighten the nut down and then turn the allen head screw to the right just a little to make sure it dont move.

  • i got a ? if you tune the star wheel up do you have to adjust the govender ?

  • no, if your truck is stock i would only recomend turning it up half a turn.

any more then that it floods itself. but for the best power gain you need to get a fuel plate

  • do you know anything about the tranys cause i tturned it and after that it stop going into od

  • what do you mean by turned it?

  • turned the starwheel then it stop going into od

  • i dont know why it would do that just by turning the star wheel up,ive never heard of that problem.

you might want to try DieselTruckResource for their help cause im stumped.

  • ya because befor my truck had no power like if you steped on it it would just go faster it wouldnt get up and go or spool but after i turned the star while up it stop going in to od or if it dose go in i have to keep it to the floor

  • sounds like a transmission problem to me, did you turn the starwheel towards the block or away from the block.

  • torwards it dose any other know why my truck dont go in od

  • can you exlain how to do that also anyone now why my 94 cummins is not shift right and not going into o/d

  • can you explain it a little more?

  • how to turn the screw up

  • ive never taken it to a drag strip to find out,and im not going to race.

i dont have the money or the time to fix it right now,in about a week or two its coming apart.

  • what you going to do to it

  • im going to take it apart and rebuild my white dually.

  • Im not scared, but its not worth it when i need the cab and front end to fix my dually. and the throw out bearing is coming out and the clutch is slipping.

About trucks beating a "d tuned civic" there are trucks that are burning vipers and running under 8 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

Plus an I-6 vtech wouldnt even turn the tires over, let alone move 6500+ pounds of truck.

  • what done to your truck dude

  • Pre-Boost screw turned all the way in,number 10 fuel plate,4 inch exhaust,K&N cold air intake.

  • how you screw pre boost ? and what year it

  • its a 97, and its the screw on the back of your fuel pump.

  • how hard it to do

  • playing with me? why were you bouncing off the rev limiter before you shifted? and when i raced you you didnt have a turbo. or else you would have went on.

and the sad part is is your claiming to be sand bagging against a truck whos clutch was slipping while still sandbagging.

Now if you dont believe me you can ask my friend who was riding with me that night.

  • burnt my ass once? the last i remember your front end was at my driver side door and i had you by a hood, and once we started down the hill i had a black SUV infront of me stopping at a redlight so i let off so i could slow down in time.

  • what do you mean by that dumb?

  • i guess im original then, nobody else that ive seen has a flapper on the side exhaust of a truck. :D

  • ha ha cool!!

  • you are dicks to this poor guy shut the fuck up and get a true truck that flapper kick ass cummins all the way

  • the only question is why the hell do you need a flapper

  • the same reason as i said before, because i wanted to put one on it.
