I love rosie but is this really suppose to be a New Orleans accent. We sound nothing like that. She sounds as if she is from Kentucky. Rosie, before your try to sound like you from the NO actually go and talk to someone from the NO b/c this is a bit of an insult.
no offence, but it always seem like PUERTORICANS are so desperate for attention & to be noticed
i guess its because there culture is so invisible in AMERICA. besides that one PARADE that they get in NEWYORK, P.RICANS really dont have nothin goin for themselves as a people.
besides J-LO, they have no real A-LIST CELEBRITIES, NO GREAT LEGENDARY ANERICAN FIGURES, NO HOLIDAY, NO TV SHOWS or SITCOMS on regular TV, no major block buster MOVIES, & most them try & act BLACK. so they are lost
I think you have an interesting point of view..... although, I would have to greatly disagree with you......what is "acting black"?.... F.Y.I most of Central America is mixed with African people....so many Puerto Ricans (and other Central American country natives) have some African descendent's.....and i don't think they are lost.....they have a lot of talent and influence; AND have contributed greatly to the arts. I'm a Spaniard; not a Puerto Rican....I'm just putting that out there :P
well, "actin black" ofcourse doesnt refer to the whole black race, but it do describe a certain % of blacks that do acted a certain way. from clothes, fashion, street swagger, slang, types of cars thats driven, music, & especially HIPHOP. because BLACKS created hiphop in the bronx, & at first the LATINOS were just into there LATIN CULTURE, but once they seen BLACK KIDS doin the RAPPIN, DJ'ING & MIXING, BREAKDANCING & POP LOCKIN,then LATINOS eventually got involved
lol please. Listen to any other of her videos on here or other places and you will hear her normal accent. She's dramatically putting that on, it makes her sound like a different person.

She is brilliant. She is a great actress as well. Better than Jennifer Lopez any day of the week.
