sorry, no comparisons are allowed, i know, but personally, i must say, that was the finest 7:07 i have ever heard. solo piano ballad/blues/re-harmonization/interpretation with feeling. please somebody give me a towel now so i can dry my eyes and my laptop.

I saw him live 97 at Schloss Elmau, Germany with Steve Gadd and Miroslav Vitous. Was soo great! R.I.P. Michel! God bless you!

I also am ashamed to say I had never heard of him until a stumbled at random on one of his vids a few minutes ago. I am totally amazed by his playing -and shocked I have not heard of him before. Very sad to find he died in 1999 a few days after his 36th birthday, he obviously had a lot more to give...

Ashamed to say I had never heard of him until 10 minutes ago. What an incredible guy and what a sad sad loss to die so young. Fabulous and very moving piano playing. Makes me very emotional.
