Man, I like Vitor Belfort but that is a very bold statement. He lost to Dan Henderson, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture (twice), Chuck Liddell and Sakuraba, but he is going to knock out Anderson Silva or Mousasi? That is a little strong of a statement. I hope he wins but that is a bit much.

First, Tito Randy and Chuck are bigger than Anderson. So Belfort, being a small 205, feels good about fighting Anderson.

Second, Mousasi was a nobody when this video was made. So it is not too crazy for him to dismiss Mousasi like that.

Belfort noticed the cut against Randy immediately after it happened. Honestly, I was mad that he didn't flurry & put Couture away when that happened. Belfort is too nice a guy. If he would've created space and landed his barrage of punches to a already hurt Couture there wouldn't be any debate as to how he won the Light-Heavweight belt in the UFC. He's as focused as ever so I see him being a champion again.

Had that punch hit Couture flush on the jaw instead of nicking his eye, it would have been lights out for Couture as well so Vitor deserved that win and although it wasnt a solid decisive win, it was a win plus Vitor had the kidnapping of his sister heavily on his mind too. People forget that part.

(B) sonnen isn't injured maia got the shot because he subbed sonnen in 2 minutes last year. (C) kimbo is more deserving of a title shot as he actually fights at heavyweight you can't really say vitor fight's at middleweight so it was one big joke that he was the #1 contender. and (D) just like chuck is 2-1 against randy randy is 2-1 against vitor "one round" belfort. im glad he's hurt.

I dont care if Randy's eye was re injured. Vitor beat him via TKO. Sonnen is injured, did you not see his face? it was also confirmed on the UFC website. I actually thought that Nate or Hendo deserved the title shot before Vitor but it never happened. Vitor needed to prove he deserved the title shot which he hadnt done. It doesnt matter what we think, only what the UFC thinks and obviously they gave Vitor the shot for a reason. To hear you say its only because he's a puncher is stupid.

there was not one logical reason for him to get the shot over hendo. especially after hendo handed him his tits when they fought. it's probably a good thing for you as a belfort fan anyways anderson would have just been teasing him before he knocked him out with a lazy jab shades of forrest griffin because NOBODY likes to charge forward like vitor belfort. and everybody knows vitor never had shit on couture he wasn't even winning the fight a win is a win but even vitor can admit he got lucky.

Vitor's never fought Anderson, thats one of the reasons they matched him. Anderson probably would cream Vitor, we wont know that until it happens. I would much rather see Nate vs Vitor. Randy would have beat him down, if not for that cut. But if the doctor did not stop that fight, then Randy would have fought blind in one eye facing career threatening damage. Vitor threw that punch with intent and it did the job, so yes Vitor did beat Randy.

Im hoping if Vitor signs with UFC, they build him up a bit with atleast one fight before throwing him in with Silva. Makes for more hype, but Silva by TKO in the third.

The punch didn't even land. He didn't beat Randy. It was a freak incident and should have been ruled a no contest.

I wouldn't mind seeing Vitor back in the UFC but I think his best days are behind him. He can dominate in smaller shows but not in the UFC where they have the best of the best.
