hows the action on your guitar? how many turns did you make on the tuning pegs while restringing? is the bridge flush to the body?
My guitar has the fender spec. set up...why can't I do these bends? the force just gets too strong! With my other strat, i can do these, but with my current strat, I cant! HElp!
sounds awesome, been playin guitar a year and some change now. i play 10's just cause my friend uses them, is there a big difference sound wise with other strings??
Can anyone give me any amp tuning tips to try and duplicate this sound ? I have a fender Strat , using 10's, tuned a 1/2 step down and using a Fender GDEC 30. Pretty cool little practice amp with all kinds of neat settings but I cannot get this sound. Thanks in advance for any help.
could someone tell me what im doing wrong?, when im doing a whole step bend, it makes noise when i release it, im covering the string with the right hand but its making noise. why?
Sometimes when bending a string, the muting of the string when released actually happens with the underside of the fingers on your left hand. That's not necessarily the case here, but there's a lot of places where your left hand is used for muting in combination with your right hand.
thanks, yeah ill check that out to cause thats a tricky spot too, i think my problem is when releasing the 2nd and 3rd string hit, but i figured that thats probably just what u get, i noticed u even make the sound but the notes louder anyway so it doesnt matter, with full bends at speed, it reduces the noise, when u have the back pickup selected, cause your hands covering in front of the pickup, i just reckon ill do slides instead of bends for slow songs so i dont get that nasty sound.
Im noticing the same problem. It wasn't hardly noticable at all until I got the fender blues jr amp. Guess that shows how crappy my other amp was. It just makes a noise(bass) when I bend up a whole step.

how do u kil the upper string noise after bending?it's a real prob 4 me !
mailalexjoseph 4 years ago
Not sure where you're referring to in the riff, but chances are it's either lifting the fingers off the fretboard sightly or palm muting.

what tuning are you in?

Down 1/2 step from standard tuning.
