empathy towards others is the corner stone of respect,non of the rioters showed this,so don't deserve respect from others.they should join a political group instead of a gang if they feel so disrespected,make change not chaos because the change that is going to happen because of this chaos wont be for the better,new laws and guidelines will affect everyone including future peaceful demonstrations of the working classes for their rights...the rioters can not see past their greed.

a multi cultural society dose not work because it only makes us segregate ourselves in to groups to protect our way of life and our way of thinking and pulling Briton apart. media, music and games numbs to the point that we feel no empathy or fear of outcomes. young black men and women are given stereotypes and music depicting a way of life that is all guns, drugs and sex. the young guy in this clip hasn't a clue because we live in a culture that rewards stupidity and ignorance.

Taking all the bendy buses out of service in london when the tax payer and tfl do not want it and its going to cost the tax payer alot of wasted money seen as these busses are less than 10 yrs old

@cheeckybutnice Bendy buses also known as "the free bus", people avoided paying by going on it through a different entrance. Stupid idea by Red Ken Livingslime, and at the same time, blocked up box junctions so no traffic could use the junction, also killed a few pedestrians because the buses cut corners.

it was a bad idea at first but tfl said it does not make sense getting rid of them.

Staff have had to be trained to drive them , the cost of all the ticket micheans along the routes.

Borris wats to replace tem with a newer style of the route master ( which can be a free bus and is more dangerous as people jump on and off)

what borris wants to do is increase the num of busses which means public transport tickets will go up once again

@cheeckybutnice Just looks like a bunch of whingers getting the usual BBC PC treatment to me. Why should black ect locals listen to any of them when all they see is destroyed houses, shops and disrespect for the community.

If those 2 were white would the media be mentioning race or heavy handed police? I just think this has shown humans as willing to use excuses when in reality they're better off than other people. People in the UK are VERY lucky.

@cheeckybutnice Yeah you're right about race but I hate PC BS. I've seen interviews with the author of 'chavs' and he seems just another white PC do gooder. Curiously, I watched a black ex gang member (on Sky I believe) talk more sense than Marcus Howe (over hill of git from the 80s), a gang member making excuses (who can't speak a proper sentence), a well to do author or a MP spouting the usual 'think of the votes' bollocks.

@cheeckybutnice The police have earnt respect as they have to do a job where they're being moaned at no matter what they do. They're bound by red tape that has made it a criminal's paradise and has lead to them doing anything they want. These little tossers need a good kicking as they clearly have no respect and never shown it to their own Mothers. We need to cut out race, class and what happened in the past to focus on the present. Our grand children will judge us either way.

if the shoooting of mark duggen happend in ay other police force nobody would of moaned but the met police give other police forces a bad rep , the met police is filled with curruption from top to bottom , even the mcpherson report said it.

Why should anybody respect a police force that takes the law into its own hands.

@cheeckybutnice The real problem is that officers who are simply doing a job and not at the top of the Met food chain are being made to look bad. Even if the disagree with polices or think things could be done better they are merely cogs in the wheel. As you said others are getting a bad rep but that's how it works. I don't have a job but because of scroungers I'm viewed as one of them EVEN though I consider them a curse on my chances of a job.

It's easy to give really.

They've got no respect for police officers because the only time they interact with the police is when they've been caught breaking the law.

If you want the respect of police officers, why not start with respecting the law first?
