The q300's are very highly rated and award winners. I think it depend what you listen to and if you want the extra bass then I would go for the 500's, they won't be too big for your room and if paired with the correct amplifier they are excellent.
For a bedroom (5x6m) would you rather get the Q300s + stand or just the Q500s? I just can't choose... The price difference (including stands) is 250 euro.
I'm not sure about that I can't compare, I use the 650A which I think complements them well

The bass on these speakers is very good and you do not need a subwoofer or anything else to enhance the bass
