  • That's a two tone Cadillac horn. I like that horn too.

  • Yeah, it's a nice engine.

  • That's a 1.5" scale propane fired live steam vertical boiler 0-4-0. The car behind it is a club owned SP "Daylight" custom center bench car with ends with window holes. The red caboose is a club owned conductor's riding car with a compressed air (No compressor, which means they have to refill it a lot) tank to provide air for the consist brakes.

  • Yeah, It ran real well that day too, but driving a steamer in that weather was hot!

    -Oskar

  • Yeah, running a steam engine is hard, but in sizzling weather is even harder.

    -Alex

  • Yes, he'll be firing it up on the 22 I believe. I got to drive it, though you can't see it in any of the footage (All parts).

  • out of interested. what gaoge is that steamer at 6:00

  • Mine too. It's a club owned engine that any certified engineer can drive. I heard it used to pull more than 7 cars, but they've cut it down since the Sutchville Reconfiguration Project. It has a loud airhorn, and a beautiful sound system horn (Modelled after the Nathan M-3H). It is one of the few 1.5" scale electrics at the club.
