To solve this problem disable Hardware Acceleration in the system preferences by going to Edit -> Preferences -> and unchecking “Enable hardware acceleration”.

@asdajifju2144125 but where is LIBRARY in windows??? I tried looking for progams/spotify but there is no such folder. Where did you find the first subfolder called "library"?
yeah, if its on a mac download 'appzapper' and remove spotify, then reinstall it, all your play list stay the same, it just removed all the corrupt files, if PC not sure, can't help.

If you delete your storage files it's fixed temporary, after 10 min of playing the problem comes up again.

Shutdown Spotify and remove ~/Library/Application Support/Spotify and ~/Library/Preferences/com.spotify.client.plist
Restart Spotify, sign in and voilá. :)
