The idea was that people would be more sympathetic to crippled kids, and would then give more money. The money would go to the men, of course, not the children.

Mettere agli atti ciò che accade con tale precisione e coraggio non è una crudeltà, bensì un importante mezzo per far vedere al resto del mondo quel che accade affinchè si possa capire e riflettere.

Questa non è morbosità, ma forte spirito di documentazione.

Sì ma è noto che Jacopetti, come tutti gli autori di mondo movies, infilassero in mezzo ai film anche tante falsità. Tanti toni moralistici salvo poi filmare proprio i dettagli più crudi con un intento che definire morboso è nulla. E' noto il caso di Africa Addio in cui J. fece ritardare un'esecuzione per poter cambiare l'obiettivo alla cinepresa!
