This song tenderizes my heart. Every time I replay this game I know that this is the last time I'll ever see Aeris..... just after she spills her heart to Cloud.
I took tifa on the date by accident and wow its much more emotional than aeris's and i really thought tifa was going to tell him then fireworks and nevermind
kind of interesting this title "interrupted by fireworks" considering Tifa really wanted to say how she felt about cloud. She never got to say it, just commented on the fireworks. i wonder if the song titles hold special meaning, like in ACC soundtrack her theme is called "connected hearts".
i didn't use cait sith much, but it still hit hard when he sacrificed him self like that just to get the black materia, he may have been a stuffed animal... but that still took a lot of courage to stand up and do what was right

You don't realize that you are holding your breath everytime you hear this song. It's like you are just waiting for something to happen. But it doesn't happen the way you want it to. Such false hope for two characters that were meant to be.
@the deathtackle yeah correct. this music was only played twice in the entire game. both happen in disc 2. obviously the 1st was cloud goes to date with either tifa, aeris or yuffie( but not barret though)
and the second time when cait sith no1 encase himself forever in the temple. my most fav song in the entire ff7. he did a compatibility check on cloud and aeris b4 that though, the 3rd member will just froze there unless u bring tifa along as the third party.
I always found it a little funny that the date with Yuffie was the only one that wasn't interrupted by the fireworks. Tifa and Aerith had their declarations of love to Cloud interrupted by the fireworks, so they decided not to say anything. You get to see Yuffie actually kiss Cloud, only for her to get annoyed at his lack of a response to her kiss.
Oh man, the scene where Cait Sith dies to retrieve the black materia... When I played the game for the first time, none of it really made me get all that emotional. But on the second play-through on that scene, with this music, my eyes were welling up with tears.
How can you not love this game? It was one of not many what acctualy had so much story inside it and could make you fell exacly what heros fells. Music was awsome and I dont belive they will ever beat that game in story line

Most teenagers today give the rest bad reputations. I'm 15 years old, bought this game last year and enjoyed every bit of it. I enjoyed the story, gameplay, adventuring, humor, everything. The graphics didn't bother me at all. I feel bad for most others that look at games for graphics and gameplay, which is why they ignore games such as FFVII.
@Enqlishbook lookup PROCFW you can then use PSX2PSP to convert old PS1 games to PSP eBOOT, which you then drag n drop into your PSP/GAME folder, and walla, #1 reason i did this to my PSP FFVII forever.
Gameplay and story > graphics SERIOUSLY people. When I started to play this game as a kid, I despised this game's graphics. But I got over it and really started to love this game from the bottom of my heart. I just love the way characters show their emotions with their exaggerated gestures. Voice acting nor nowadays graphics could never do justice to this great piece.
I really hope SE won't do a terrible mistake and remake this piece of art...

im eleven and i saw my brother playing this...at first I didn't think much a bout it but as I grew older by the age of ten I realised i wanted to play the game after listening to the soundtracks over and over again. Thus I started playing it and dedicated alot of time to finding out what happened next...it was worth it not only for the soundtrack but the game play,story and so many other things that made this game great. I love this game It was a mystery for me... :)

Forget the idiots who say FFVII has some bad gfx, we all know that story makes FF so unique, including masterpieces from Nobuo, amazing gameplay, bright and deep characters and that spirit which makes us return to FFVII again and again, no matter how old it is!
Gfx for that time was fantastic with all CGI scenes.
And for this OST I must say, it's one of the most emotional in the game and very dear for me.

Then when they were at that cable car-like ride, this song came on, and Tifa tried to tell cloud what she felt about him, but didn't. I remember when she said "Nevermind" i went "OH C'MON! YOU JUST KILLED MY SUSPENSE!" >.<
I'm so glad that this song is dedicated to Aeris. After Zack died, she had nothing. She met Cloud and well, was happy again. This game has easily got the best story, music, and pure awesomeness out of all the Final Fantasy's. I love Final Fantasy 7.
One of the most best themes in video game history. I got Aerith the first time at GS, then I found out you could get Tifa and Barret, but neither were as cool as the one with Aerith. This scene was really great.

It must have been a mind blowing game back then. Too bad I missed it, I just started playing the series and I've only played FF9 and 10 yet.

@Jaref A lot of popular stuff get a lot of hate. I don't care, to me this game deserves the praise. My favorite FF game yet is FFIX closely followed by VII (but I haven't finished the game yet so it might change), and X will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first. And I'm definitely going to play VI and VIII. In fact, I think I'll play every main game in the series. I love FF a lot. I think it is slowly starting to become my favorite video game series.
there are so many songs from this game that give me goose bumps every time i listen to them, this being one of them. no other game has ever made me feel the happiness and sadness that FFVII has. 14 years later, and it still impacts me the same way. it makes me incredibly happy knowing i didnt miss out on the greatest, most emotionally rollercoaster-like game (in my opinion) ever

It makes me sad how games nowadays with cool graphics don't have the same awesome stories like they did when this game came out. I'm saying all games don't have awesome story lines, a lot do, but there are a lot that don't. This game (and kingom hearts 1 and 2) is the best ever, in fact, I don't think the graphics aren't all that bad either.

This games is awesome! It has one of the best story lines I have ever heard and who cares if the graphics aren't as great as they are now, it did come out in 1997! At least it has an amazing story with awesome characters! Geez, stop judging games just the graphics aren't as good as they are now!

People that dis this game's graphics are dumbasses. IT CAME OUT IN 1997. At that time, there wasn't ONE game that could rival its visuals. It revolutionized story-telling in roleplaying games. Get a clue or stop posting ignorant-ass comments.

im eleven and i saw my brother playing this...at first I didn't think much a bout it but as I grew older by the age of ten I realised i wanted to play the game after listening to the soundtracks over and over again. Thus I started playing it and dedicated alot of time to finding out what happened next...it was worth it not only for the soundtrack but the game play,story and so many other things that made this game great. I love this game It was a mystery for me... :)

I remember the first time I played this game...during the gondola scene, I was so irritated with Cloud for being a jerk toward Aeris.
The second time I played, now having known what would happen to Aeris, this scene, and this song in particular, made me want to cry.

Its all about the big picture. I'll never forget playing this game on my ps1 everyday after school racin home to get to the tv! Man good times good times. Best game I've ever touched hands down!

Forget the idiots who say FFVII has some bad gfx, we all know that story makes FF so unique, including masterpieces from Nobuo, amazing gameplay, bright and deep characters and that spirit which makes us return to FFVII again and again, no matter how old it is!
Gfx for that time was fantastic with all CGI scenes.
And for this OST I must say, it's one of the most emotional in the game and very dear for me.
Long live all FF fans!

haha, i remember that I played the story in such a way that made tifa go out with cloud. Then when they were at that cable car-like ride, this song came on, and Tifa tried to tell cloud what she felt about him, but didn't. I remember when she said "Nevermind" i went "OH C'MON! YOU JUST KILLED MY SUSPENSE!" >.<

I'm so glad that this song is dedicated to Aeris. After Zack died, she had nothing. She met Cloud and well, was happy again. This game has easily got the best story, music, and pure awesomeness out of all the Final Fantasy's. I love Final Fantasy 7.

One of the most best themes in video game history. I got Aerith the first time at GS, then I found out you could get Tifa and Barret, but neither were as cool as the one with Aerith. This scene was really great.

@Jaref Lol yeah. I love Aerith so I'm glad, too bad she dies. I love the game so far. I think it has aged pretty well aside from the graphics (which I don't mind). It must have been a mind blowing game back then. Too bad I missed it, I just started playing the series and I've only played FF9 and 10 yet.

Good to hear that you're giving the series a chance and that you're enjoying the game. FFVII gets a lot of hate for no reason at all. People forget what a masterpiece it was for its time. I highly recommend FFVI and FFVIII as well =)

@Jaref A lot of popular stuff get a lot of hate. I don't care, to me this game deserves the praise. My favorite FF game yet is FFIX closely followed by VII (but I haven't finished the game yet so it might change), and X will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first. And I'm definitely going to play VI and VIII. In fact, I think I'll play every main game in the series. I love FF a lot. I think it is slowly starting to become my favorite video game series.

there are so many songs from this game that give me goose bumps every time i listen to them, this being one of them. no other game has ever made me feel the happiness and sadness that FFVII has. 14 years later, and it still impacts me the same way. it makes me incredibly happy knowing i didnt miss out on the greatest, most emotionally rollercoaster-like game (in my opinion) ever

Wow, I feel really old reading the comments in this video. Bad graphics? When this game came out, it was ahead of its time compared to what was out there in competition. Jesus, playing this game was like being sucked into another world 12 years ago. Shaking my head at all you children.

@BeatleWithAnA Yes they do. If you want a good modern rpg, play elder scrolls or mass effect. I know it's not just you but I'm really sick of people bashing modern day games. There were countless shitty games back in the 90's too btw. And before the rest of youtube flames me for ignorance, I have played ff7. I've also played super metroid, mgs, ff8, ff9, ff3, chrono trigger, and plenty of games from the so called "Golden Age". Like every decade of gaming, there were good and bad games.

@Merkylicious It truly was paving the way for great graphics, but now it has become outdated and everyone would love to see their game re-made into the modern glory of graphics. Then it would be perfect. But they shouldn't change any of the details, not one. :3
