  • greeeaaatt u2, god bless you x ever for the gift of your music, thanks u2 concerts for share this music, god bless you.

  • Without a doubt the best track from HTDAAB and quite astounding it was not considered for a single release. Also, they have very rarely played it live which I find quite odd too.

  • Why does this song get so little recognition????? I think it's the best on the whole album!!!

  • Great song! But I do wish the video was actually synced with the music.

  • U2??????... THE BEST BAND OF THE LAST 100 YEARS!!!

  • Nothing in this tune apart from Edge's riff

  • wonderful song. the reasons i like U2 the most.

  • BB loves this tune..!!!! damn.!! missed this one a fews years back too..!!! Lorelei..!! listen.....

  • Heard this On ST PAtty's day in a pub in NYC ,,,and was like ..damn..sounds like new U2...never heard it before► and I thought I had all their music.! Xcellent song.!!

  • this song has a great message hidden inside..

  • made my day!!! thanks downloadmusic .im

  • 'you speak of signs and wonders ... but i need something other ... where u live shouldn't decide whether u live or whether u die ... 3 to a bed ... and sista she said ... dignity passes by ...' when will we consider others as ourselves - thatz what this song is about :-/ ... thanks be to u2 and all who are similar

  • ROTHSCHILDS, can you hear us?

    No? You will..

  • Here is a Great song just good old stuff..........no disco bullshit

  • like the drowning man of this release...overlooked but great!!!

  • @MrYourmusicsucks I agree, I'd say one of the best on the album

  • Beautiful song! I love it:)

  • Awesome ever!

  • fantastic song

  • @manconoo I absolutely agree. I personally think The Beatles are extremely overrated. I've listened to their music but can't get into it. They just don't do it for me. Their music doesn't have substance and depth like U2's music does. Plus, Bono is a better singer than Paul McCartney.

  • this song is overwhelming!!! the words...and ooohhh...the musical score..i was at the vertical tour for this song..the 360 tour/ rose bowl..and will be at the anaheim/ san diego show when the guys reschedule the north american tour..well wishes in your recovery bono!!! u2 is my heart!!! <=

  • such a beautiful song..

  • Powerful guitar opening.

  • POWERFUL SONG!

  • U2 lyrics are really hard to grasp

  • A friend of mine reckons that this band is up there with the Beatles - What do you folks reckon. personally I think they give the Beatles a run for their money!!

  • There are certainly some great lyrics in this song:

'You were pretty as a picture

It was all there to see

    Then your face caught up

    With your psychology

    With a mouthful of teeth

    You ate all your friends

    Then you broke every heart

    Thinking every heart mends"

...classic - reminds me of my psycho sister-in-law...

  • I do, but I still find you still funny

  • a lot more people then those that like you

  • God bless you all and provide everyone with happiness for 2010 :)

  • Definitely one of U2's most underrated songs. GREAT music. U2's the best band in the world!!!

  • where you live should not decide

whether you live or whether you die

    ahh wonderful verse

  • If you know U2 resently all of their songs are under rated. The good ones at least. Think about it.

  • Quite a little U2 nugget,,,great fuckin' song!!

  • pienso q mucha gente le presto mas atencion a Vertigo y City of Blinding lights, que a canciones como crumbs from your table o a man and a woman, en lo personal yo considero q esta cancion es la mejor de este disco! me trae tantos recuerdos n___n

  • Greatest band ever !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's one of the best u2 songs I have heard, it's incredeble that this song hasn't been more famous! <3

  • @LaiksernIsTheBest

I completely and totally agree with U! Love U2 since Joshua Tree album and thought that they could never touch me again so strongly with a song as in the past...so naive, lol!

  • @LaiksernIsTheBest Well this song is not for everyone, its sad, but some people just don't get it...one of there best songs by far.

  • under rated song.

  • @recobalegend20 ..u r exactly right......its like teh best song ever...teh lyrics and teh guitar .....AMAZING!!!

  • que puto temazo, no sabia qe salio un videoclip de sta cancion

  • diooossss me encanta esta cancioonnn

es una puta obra maestra joder

la mejor cancion d u2 sinduda

  • So...................

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG ! :)

  • amazing

  • MAGNIFIC!! PEOPLE

  • beautiful song, is a BEST

  • great song and the greatest band in the whole world

  • the greatest rock band of all time. The Bruce Woody press.

  • gotta love u2 going to go to there concert when they ceom to montreal =)

  • U2 is all that maters to their fans, I think it is that U2 loves & respects so many other bands and sounds, however, every U2 FAN knows that there will be no other band like U2...ever."

  • the sound is one of the best from this album

  • u2 get better with age. their new stuff is their best

  • i love u2

  • Muito bom, uma das melhores!

  • man u need answerin to, but hey!!!!!

  • They were drunk on the night they wrote the words to this.

  • this song is underrated, but most of their greatest ones (lots of B songs) were underrated. They rocked on this one...so so so deep.

  • Comment removed

  • sorry hit the neg sign on accident. POSITIVE ALL THE WAY.

  • haha you got that right.. this is definitely among thier best songs in my opinion.

  • i think this song is underrated, the song is great

  • yeah me to i thought it should have been played more in the vertigo tour amazing song

  • agreed, one of the best on HTDAAB

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

I didnt care much for the last two U2 albums, beyond a few songs on each that I thought were absolutely brilliant, and this song is the true gem on Atomic Bomb, it would have fit in perfectly on Joshua Tree.

Fortunately, it sounds like the new album is more geared towards this harder, edgier old-school U2 sound of the past (despite the horrible "Boots" single), and this song was probably an early indicator of it.

  • very relaxing, good music, im more of a metal guy but this shit alright. Fuck all bitches that talk shit.

  • Great song from a great album. Cant wait for the next one in March! :)

  • back to the music - this is one of my fav tracks u2 have done, beautiful

"i would believe, if i was able"

  • hey quadfuck, if you don't like the man and his music, that's fine! Why don't you just fuck off and keep your opinion to yourself!if you have no respect for Bono & U2 why are you even looking at this post you ignorant fuck!!

  • sidetracked, to say the least. remember the music. this song is killer ... leave bono alone ... appreciate his and U2's gift. lighten up, francis ....

  • This song is about the people that feed off of us...whoever that is

  • This song is about how America and its wealthiest people don't do enough to help solve world hunger. The title suggests that crumbs from our table could help starving people in Africa. Bono indicts America for being hypocritical with these lines: Would you deny for others What you demand for yourself?

Bono could not be reached for comment as he was stepping off his private jet and into his limousine.

  • Bono does a shit load of things for the people in Africa. He does way more than any other figure in America.

  • Bono is patronizing, that's what Bono is. Bono is as condescending and stupid as any other shallow band-member or star in the world, and not just The Red White and Blue land.

And if you're looking to compare him with each of the equally patronizing US presidents...then you can stop right there.

    Nobody cares about Africa.

"American is asked to pinpoint Africa on a world map: 'Well heya ummumm..that lil' squiggly thing there caint be it..how 'bout that one?' *points to Australia*

  • Thats the oldest fuckin line u could have pulled out. And don't include everyone in your or everyone in your small little circle's blief. Your name prolly hints at why you dislike Bono as you do. You are a stranger to earth sir. Truth be told I really don't care about what you think about him. He still makes good music. And another point, why the fuck are you even watching the video?

  • 'Little circle's blief'

Right, something I do have is my own set of opinions. i don't do circular 'bliefs', mate. Truth be told, you can think whatever the fuck you want about Bono; I dont recall trying to dictate everyone's opinions on a fucking music artist. Including yours, which to be frank, i'm not terribly interested in.

Talking about old lines...your last one was a fucking clincher!

    Cheers.

  • Whatever jackass. Go take a gasoline shower and then start a campfire and you be the wood. Kill yo damn self. And yes you did try and dictate your supid little beliefs on everyone else because no one asked for your dumb opinion and you still gave it. If you don't care about what I think then why the hell are you still replying to me? S-H-U-T T-H-E F-U-C-K- U-P and leave. And the last sentence wasn't a line, it was a question. You retarded ass.

  • Hahaa! I just cannot believe there are people as stupid as..well, you. It's hilarious! I haven't had such comic relief in ages. How do you breathe?

'And the last sentence wasn't a line, it was a question'

    No shit, you little retard!

    Hahaa..you're great fun..please go on.

  • You are one of two things. Incredibly misinformed and english, or just misinformed. Bono's vast work for Africa and other developing nations is well documented. A snotty nosed, ignorant piece of shit like yourself can't hide from the facts. As for his musical talent, well, that goes without saying. When your done you can head back to your Backstreet Boys cd or let me guess, you're a gangsta???

  • er..Hullo.

I like Coldplay, mate. Oasis, Band of Horses, Damien Rice, Panic! at the disco, One Republic, Feeder, Take That, the Killers, Keane..to name a few.

I'm sorry I haven't memorized Bono's wiki article. Its good to come up with such a dedicated fan as yourself (I didn't count on that! ouch!). You've got a good hold on your cliches, too, just like any good ole youtuber (along with stereotyping: 'english, or gangsta').

Didn't you know 'gangstas' can't think?

    Quadfunk: self-explanatory.

  • All the bands and artists you have mentioned are second rate and have fuck all to do with the point, and Im not your mate. Coldplay, Oasis, the Killers, are you fuckin serious??, enough said. The argument is way above your head kiddo. I suggest you keep listening to d. rice, hes enough to make you hang yourself.

  • quadfunk: self explanatory, lol what the fuck does that mean? you have no idea where it comes from you fuckin fake. Take That: self explanatory.

  • Haha..quadfunk..I'm still puzzling over how people like you can breathe.

Ever hear the quote (that was a rhetorical question, of course you haven't heard of it, that's parallel to a successful mexican), "Putting feet to your ideas'?

Petitions, invocations, appeals..they usually mean jack shit. I think i'd better stop answering you, though, before you burst a vein; you sound awful angry, MATE.

  • Angry that an arrogant little snot like you is trying to tell me whats what when it comes to an artist you know fuck all about. Some day down the line your big mouth will get you into a spot of bother and there'll be a fucker like me there to break it for you. Bono isnt God, he cant make debt dissapear without petitions etc. Where the fuck were you educated? you have all the words, but fuck all when it comes to common sense. You are also a rascist little cunt. A good fuckin kickin you need.

  • i think people just love to start fights on you tube.. jump into a thread and "ha u all suck" .. be lame. just ignore this guy and keep on listening to u2! new album.. coming soon!

  • wat work are you referring to?

  • Wahaaay, another bono bashing brit. I dont have to explain myself to you. You have the internet, look yourself. Start with the petition that was brought to the G8 leaders in 05 for eradicating third world debt.

  • look quadfunk, he comes up with great ideas but how much of his fortune goes to africa? he talks about his irish government giving more money to african causes, but at the same time he transfers his fortune over to tax haven switzerland. bob geldof surely did more to champion the african cause. bono talks a good talk but as regards actually making a change hes miles behind.

  • Bob geldorf..there we have someone else. If our little friend spouting off would look a little beyond his idolization of an outdated pop star, he might just see that some people actually do good for the world (and they're even RICH, too!)

    Other than talking, that is.

Everyone talks. Tony Blair talks all the time. I rest my case.

  • The amount of bullshit that comes out of your snotty arrogant little mouth is unreal. Is the argument about who has given more? Your confusing yourself with the amount of horseshit you write...

  • Rich people don't get rich by giving their fortunes away. I think you are missing the point and are a bit naive to think the argument is about how much he gives. It was actually Geldof and Bono who spoke with the EU leaders. Get your facts right man.

  • How much time do you have on your hands to rant at Arrogant Little Snots like me?

Haha..you're a funny little shit, you are.

    cheers

  • bono is balls to the fuckin walls awesome man, don't insult him

  • Cheers! don't forget your meds, kiddo!

  • sorry wat ar eyou talkking about? how much of his personal fortune has he put into africa?

  • Ive no idea.

  • Hey moshm4n pienso que te ocultas tras lineas pero realmente no sientes lo que escribes, deberias ser màs honesto contigo mismo para que la gente realmente siga tus ideas y no se rian tras la pantalla.

  • Great melodie. beautiful

  • Pffstt. U2 has epitomized hypocrisy once again. Shitty band. Not for the music but because their pious hypocritical assholes. I'll believe Bonohead's bullshit once he sells his private jet, his mansion, his cars, his riches to people so they are not hungry anymore. If you are a millionaire (like these guys are), and you preach about how rich people don't do anything to end world hunger, then you are an asshole. And you chimps keep jumping up for more of Bono's new age bullshit philosophy.

  • Damn shame, I put "their" instead of they're. That how much this bullshit raises my blood pressure.

  • Proves he is human and there for majorly flawed. Name one celebrity who really took it upon themselves to help the best they can with all that they have. At least his heart is in the right place if not his check book.

  • I don't know where you stand concerning religion, but,Consider this, there are people out there who practice what might be called a "reverse tithe". They are few and far between. They give 90% and live off around 10% of their income. They are not celebrities. We have yet to see a celeb give it away. Also consider that Bono was so into some Bible study group in the early eighties; that he thought about quitting pop music altogether. Make what you will of that.

  • Yea, I know what you mean. Good example was John Wesley. He was the founder of the Methodist Church. He was rich, made £20,000 annually which was a lot in the 1700's. But he was poor. He used money only to just survive. So more than 90% I recon. He gave the rest of it to charity. Rose at 4 in the morning to preach 3 times a day, then did volunteer work till sundown. He didn't just flap his jaw, he just acted.

  • favorite song on the cd :)

  • still couldn't feel the ones from the latest album

  • have heard similar solo..

  • pras25 and twochordcool your both spot on

the Edge hs got to be one of the best surrent guitarists,if not the best

and yeah people should just listen to all that you cant leave behind because that album is so awesome and would blow their stupid perception of U2 as an old 80's band

i cant wait for the new album, apparently coming out in october, its gonna show everyone U2 are still the best

  • edge rocks!

  • cool down mama cool off!

  • najlepszy zespół, They're the best!!!

  • the edge is was 2 under rated. If you think about it U2's drummer and bass guitarist are fairly average and people tend to focuse on Bonos great voice. But where does the rest of the sound come from? the edge of course. He fills very thing beautifully

  • this song is soo under rated. its terrific, haunting riff, yet uplifting at the same time. brilliant. that guitar...Nothing like the edge.

  • Definitivamente Crumbs y Miracle Drug son las mejores rolas de How To.. pero en conjunto es el mejor album de ellos , esperemos el nuevo album con influencias Metaleras.

  • I absolutely love this song. So amazing.

  • How to dismantle an atomic bomb is one of the greatest albums ever...all the songs are great !!!

  • I totally agree - EVERY song on that CD is practically a masterpiece - I laugh at fools that say U2 are not nearly as good as back in the day.

  • stupendaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • wow! this is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song ,good video and its not old its from their last album! Why does Bono still pretend to play the guitar? I thought he had grown out of that. there is a secondguitar part but bono doesnt playit and they leave it out in the live version

  • Um, moron, I doubt Bono "poses" with a guitar without playing it.

  • This song is oooollllddd...

Present in the turnes around the road, singing in the table on the bus!!

    I loved this song...

  • Where the Heavens and the Earth Connect!!!

hit the earth with sound,my GOD.

  • Great melodie. beautiful

  • U2 the best of all time!!

  • una canzone STUPENDA

  • eu moletom admiro muito essa banda é show

  • Love it! I need to hear it everyday!

  • The tracking is way off.

    Hang the poster.

  • The song is about the Catholic church, not the US.

  • ..that makes perfect sense now... I did not know that, but I wondered if it were more to it considering some of the lyrical content. It did not seem to correlate with what I had heard this was about...

  • I looked it up... its about 3rd world needing the crumbs from the 1st world.. world relief in africa... so the poster below was partially correct.

  • I am sure there are plenty of rich folk who do not help the poor (although the bloody tax rate is close to 65%) - but the US remains...far and above anyone the most charitable nation there is 100 times over. This includes private benevolence and government aid. I think Bono made great music here but totally misses the mark...

  • Gran tema, igual que muchos otros...

    Grande U2!!!!!!!

  • i love this song ...it makes me go to the sky

  • Grande U2, la mejor banda de todos los tiempos!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it just me or is the tracking off? Still love it=]

  • marvelouss

  • This song is about how America and its wealthiest people don't do enough to help solve world hunger. The title suggests that crumbs from our table could help starving people in Africa. Bono could not be reached for comment as he was stepping off his private jet and into his limousine.

    -maddox

  • an hominem ftw!

  • "Every heart mends"...What an amazing begining this song has. Fabulous band! No match for these blessed 4.

  • I try telling people no band has ever been better but it usually ends up in an argument with a complete moron!

  • You cant say a band is better than another. That's just a personal opinion. Imho U2 is one of the best bands ever.

  • Perhaps not when you get to bands like the Beatles or HUGE bands like that - but you CANNOT allow some moron to say a band like Iron Maiden or Guns and Roses is better - that's just simply retarded.

  • Agree on that ^^

  • U2 has surpassed even the Beatles; i is just an unholy reverence and sentimentality that keeps it from being a universal acknowledgement....

  • You have to speak plain English to me if you want me to understand what you are trying to say.

  • Really? And what are you going to do if I say something daring like; Every band is better than U2? Woe is he who speaks against a dumbass U2 fan. And no shit it's someone's opinion. You don't have to remind people that they only speak for themselves to justify your taste in shitty music. So let me get this straight. You can say that U2 is the best band, which is saying U2 is better than all bands. But you just said that you can't say that. Damn hypocrisy runs in its fans as well as in the band.

  • Okay i was wrong, you CAN say it :P no need to get so mad.

  • WOW It just their opinion that U2 is the best band it is not a fact just like saying someone is the best whatever on earth it is not true there is always someone better at it then someone else.

  • No doubt it's my opinion. But people worship this band like it's Jesus. They say Bonobrain is so great for caring. It's not him that bugs me, but rather the fans.

I think this guy should spend more time putting money where his mouth is instead of criticizing other rich people about it.

I am not Mr.Perfect either, and you're right he is human. But why go out of your way to judge other people in the same boat as you about something you don't do yourself?

  • Man, reading your posts makes me angry. Since their's a void of U2 fans not worshipping Jesus cause their worshipping Bono instead.. why don't you fill the void? Fuck you remind me of Saul before he converted to Christianity. Smart ass prick.

  • There's an interesting element in language vernacular. It's called "figure of speech".

So I guess I have to write superfluous disclaimers to people before I express sarcasm, figures of speech or exaggerations. So...

Disclaimer: The following is considered sarcastic. Please note that even though I said "worship this band like it's Jesus." It's really a forward of expression that is not meant to be taken literally.

I don't because I assume people take it as sarcasm and they know I know this.

  • HEAR HEAR.

  • the album its just amazing

  • maravilloso tema que fuerza tiene...

  • fantastico

  • The gr8test song evah!!

  • one of the best songs on the album

  • this song rules

  • U2 is my faorite band and is on the top 10 list of all time.

  • U2 has always been amazing
