What an interesting video. I just watched an interview with the abbot of The Great Three Gelukpa Monastic Universities of Tibet Gaden Monastery with the title- Interview with H.E Ken Rinpoche. This current abbot of Gaden Shartse is personally appointed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. What he said is quite profound.
This adds to the ample evidence that the Chinese military and PSB weren't just clamping down hard on rioters but on ALL dissent.
There is much talk at the moment about the Tibetan resistance becoming violent if the Dalai Lama dies. I think Tibetans probably have a deeper commitment to non-violence than that. However, to quote Martin Luther King: "Those who make non-violent revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable." Ie: It's also up to China if resistance gets more violent.
