This game is so fun especially when you have all the powers the fighting performs better if your body actually faces the opponent instead u facing the tv and swinging ur arms n legs out
Just curious... I understand the "flashes" and how to dodge... but how do you block? Do you have to hold your hands up for high attacks and lift your knees (shins) for low ones? Just curious...
I don't have playstation, but... it looks pretty amazing, and I'm into MA anyhow... :D
@TheBaconBeater omg yes you can? i use a ping pong padle in the table tennis onkinect sports and it works fine..have you even seen the mods people have made using the kinect? theres one that tracks a broomstick and makes it seem like a lightsaber. get your facts straight before making an ass of yourself
@hurleypwell Actually, I've since realized you don't have to be so far away that you are the size of the outline of the person in the calibration screen. As long as the camera sees your whole body, you're ok. I've since been playing in a smaller area and it's better because I'm the right size in the game.
@TheKRKN Kinect uses a 3d camera, the main advantage of which is that you don't need to contrast with the background or have good lighting. Big advantages. However, Kung-fu live has NO lag whatsoever. Kinect has noticeable lag from what I've seen. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if someone releases a very similar game for kinect.
Hey it looks like you got down the mapping down for calibration. I assume your PS eye is on top of your set? what angle is your PS3eye aimed at? (slightly downward, straight, etc) and are you using zoom or normal mode on your PS3 eye. I noticed there was multiplayer before I exited the game have you figured out if it's local or online.
@6th818 Because of the unusual layout of my apartment and the location of the tv, my ps eye camera is actually sitting on a chair a few feet in front of the tv at about tummy height. When you realize that your camera does not have to be by the tv you can come up with interesting placements/play areas.
As to the online, I haven't checked but it's supposed to only have local co-op with 1 person on camera and the others using controllers.
@Dzormagen It picks up contrast. you need to stand out from the background. There are different ways to do this. The tutorials for doing this in the game are slick and effective.
@Dzormagen As to lighting, I just turned all my lights on and it worked fine. Notice how the camera adjusts for light level during the calibration at 0:06.

Wow I have a ps3 and a 360 and playing this really made me wish they made it for the kinect instead. Is demands WAY more
Space and it doesn't even work half of the time.

dudee789 1 year ago
@dudee789 Yes, I was. I played again today and stood closer, which worked.

@dangerous562 If you set it up right and have good lighting and contrast with your background, then yes.

How much lighting do you need for the game? And it looks that it picks up dark colors, since you are wearing a black sweater....
