  • This was clearly an improper installation.

Andersen gliding doors, assembled properly with the proper use of the instructions, supplied screws. and silicone sealant will not leak at all.

I would recommend calling a certified Andersen service provider and have them do an inspection.

If it is installed wrong there will be a fee involved, if it is a product issue they will resolve the problem.

  • It sure doesn't look like the Anderson Window advertisements we see on TV, does it? I can see that this is obviously a beautiful and expensive home. For WDC2003 (above comment) to say that you can do a lot worse than Anderson, is not very comforting to me. I'm building a new home next year, and you can be sure that it WON'T have Anderson Windows in it.

  • What is the level of humidity in the home? It would be really nice to reduce the level to reduce the water build up. Any product would show the same icing if water sits on the glass and around the perimeter of the door in bitter cold temperatures. One thing to check would be the weatherstripping and sealant put around the panels to reduce the air infiltration. I know Andesen and you can do alot worse with many other manufacturers

    WDCinstall.
