hey, all you need to do is put the trap in a body of water that has fish in it and they will get caught, wild or tame. they could get out thru the same hole they got in but they try to escape by swimming outwards and they just hit the sides of it

@halosavage ..last night i tried that in a dam here in my country we smoke up on the rocks there ... however i could see the fish plenty different sizes along the rocks ..i placed a worm inside the trap but the fish here r smarter it was dark probably they couldnt see the entrance i left the trap im gna check in the morning if some crazy stonners dont get to my trap b4 me i may get super luck ..however this trap idea of urz is awsm and very smart it gave us hope lol ..thanks

TIP: Fish are more atracted to Red hooks then a shiny gold or silver hook. Don't believe me? Try it, I used a red hook and caught over 20 fish in less than 20 minutes!

Just an idea for the side that needs to be down so the trap rests on it's side. You can use some duct tape and tap a rock of something to it. Or you could even go so far as adding some fishing weights to it! This also helps the trap sink faster. I made one for a project, catching minos and small fish from a gold course near my home. After the project I fed them to a friends fish....I think he liked the snack...
