Thai, Cambodian, Laos, Burmese, My family roots trace back to all of these and then some, My great great grandmother is Cambodian, what the hell I guess no one can understand that we share the same blood and guess what we share cultures so similar because our ancestors keep their traditions as true as possible there we should be grateful that though some of us were conqured we kept tradition not like some other asian countries that don't even speak a complete asian language

This is Cambodian traditional dance which dated back the Angorian era, Thai(Chinese) did not exist in Southeast Asia at this time. Thai came to Cambodia territory around year 1300 after the Angkor wat was built. 90 some % of Thai culture and dances were adopted from Khmer. Learn to give credit to Khmer, the owner.

The Thais actually give the Cambodian people credit for their architecture. At every Khmer influenced temple, I read these things specifically. So, really, I have no idea why everyone is bitching.

Wow, every dance video I try to view there's always an argument going on. Lol I'm lao and I truly agree with you fellow Khmers that Thais don't like to give credits to the originators. Any temple in Laos and Thailand that is stoned built belonged to the Khmers. Thats all I could say.

Thailand and Laos are Khmer, we were under the same flag for many centuries until some of our ancestors got greedy and wanted their own nation and identity. Just like Vietnamese are Chinese. Angkor Wat and our beautiful culture belong to all Khmer children including the Thais, Laos, and any other mixed breeds that inhabit this earth. We're all related, so could we please get along, children? lol.

Also Lao never claim any Khmer temple belong to Lao like Thai do. Just a few weeks ago, one small Khmer Tamoin temple near the Khmer-Thai border is occupied by the Thai soldiers, why?

Khmers claim Khmer temple belong to Khmer is right, but Thais claim Khmer temple belong to Thai is wrong and it doesn't make any sense at all, because the temple is total Khmer!!

Thais adopted mostly everything from the Khmers when Thai(Siam) had their first kingdom which should be Nanchao it was nothing like the Khmer.. they only became indianized after they took most of our land and people and adopted it into their culture. The only shit that is Siam made is our royal palaces which were built by Thai architectures .

Still Thai royal palace copied from Khmer architecture. Khmer royal palace was built by King Ponhea Yat in 1432, it's called CHAKTOMUK CITY. Thai King even copied Khmer Ramayana from Angkor wat.

Khmer developed Apsara for the royal court of Angkor. After being sacked, the Siamese took the artisans, apsara dancers, and the skilled Khmers as prisoners to intermingle khmer arts into siamese culture. Cambodia was being colonized from ear to ear, and as a result the shift in cultural influence of Thais influencing Cambodia.

Originally Cambodian rich history has been conquered and destroyed by many wars, Thai and Laos adopted parts of Cambodian culture and made it there own that's why Thai, Laos and Cambodia is different(there own separate country). Its confusing to tell who copied who from whom, but Cambodia is more detail from writing to arts. Of course during the war (Khmer Rouge) most of Khmer detailed culture is lost, so it makes sense to adopt back what is a copy version of them.
