Diana does quite a rendition of one of the great "showcase" songs of all times. As it did for Judy Garland so long ago, this song brings out the best in Diana's voice.

I am indeed a Garland fan and, for my money, "Get Happy" was one of Judy's best performances at MGM. I am not that big a fan of "Mr. Monotony". While Judy looked stunning when she filmed that number for "Easter Parade", I think the producers were right in removing it front the final print. I don't think it's that great a song, even if it was written by Irving Berlin. Why? Because it's what it implies it is...monotonous.

I agree with that, but only Garland could pull off making a monotonous song such as that and make it seem sexy. "Get Happy" still wins, but it might have been interesting to see someone do "Mr. Monotony."

AI song lists doesnt seem to be extensive. A lot of the songs sung by the contestant were repeated. I wish they let them just sing any song rather than from the usual set.

I didn't watch this season, actually, but watching her and Fantasia's performances here I can clearly see why Fantasia won. Compare this to Fantasia's rendition of "Summertime". Diana is just boring. American Idol is not only about the voice - and even if it was, her voice isn't that good anyway. There's nothing special about it.

Well, I'm not so sure myself. I mean that she didn't have the perfect performances. As you see in the low notes, she tries to hit them, but she doesn't succeed very well. She also goes off tune sometimes. This is why I think Fantasia won...

great song, she did a great job that night, however she cannot keep up with fantasia, to be honest she is not even close to being fantasias competition. the only women that could beat fantasia was jennifer and latoya and they were voted off so there will not be 3 black people for the final 3
