  • Were did you buy yours at? All on the Web seem to be fake!

  • what happens if you just put the spare rotor on top of the other one that way it has four blades.

will it make it faster? will it even fly well?

  • Nice video man, make more!

  • Does the tail blade just pull off or what?

  • You can make it go forward a little faster just by adding a small bit of weight under the nose. Gives it a slightly forward CG but it moves a lot faster. And yes these are REAL RC helicopters. The rc can stand for remote or radio. The karma guy just likes trash talking

  • @carr869 Thanks for the comment! I dont really like adding weights because even a little weight can effect the power. Your right though, I have done that before and it definitely does make them go faster forward.

  • not your third rc helicopter u dont have any rc helicopters the three u have are toys for kids 8 or older and they are not rc helicopters.

  • @thekamalwhf I'm not claiming to be a master at this stuff. I have spent a grand total of about $50 on all my rc toys that are simply for fun. Flying around the house, or my office. All 3 are RC (radio controlled) helicopters. And I am a person above the age of 8, so by your definition I guess this is a toy for me! I dont claim to be an expert, and this video isn't for obvious masters of the RC world such as yourself, sorry you didn't enjoy it.

  • Do you have to turn the tail rotor upside down? It reverses the receiver when you fly it and was wonder why everyone is doing that.

  • whats with all the sniffing? just finish blowing some lines cock head lol

  • @diabolicaldarkness1 it would be "coke" not "cock"

  • Flamming boy55

    It's called a balance bar.

  • For everyone who is currently watching this video and is deciding on buying the tail rotors linked to Amazon.

DO NOT BUY. I just got mine today and it's not as fast as stock S107 rotors!!!

  • If you cut the LED light wire it will give you more power. Just to let you know. You will be able to tell a big difference.

  • @savchuktaras you're right, i take the LED's off all my Heli's, i get an extra 2mins flying time, which im happy with :-)

  • whos got a link to a cheap picooz tail rotor??? i cant find any for less than 5 bux! Might as well buy the picooz heli itself for 20 at that point.... =0) flipping the tail rotor sux!

  • You should pull the wires in from the front of the tail boom where it meets the back of the cockpit area. Then there won't be a jumble of wires hangin out the tail rotor.

Did you drill a new hole in the top of the tail boom for the screw when you flipped the tail rotor assy around? Or, did you just "pressure screw" the screw against the boom with no hole? I believe another option would be to flip the entire tail boom around, but then there'd be the need of a new hole for the screw at front.

  • i sell them for 30usd in so cal usa i do also sell multiple types of helicopters

  • 1:09 favorite part of the video, take that other shutty helicopter out haha

  • My tail rotor died within the first 10 minutes of flight. I think the wiring was totally loose. I am disappointed in the quality of syma! Sending it back.

  • @Mark1Mach2 Diagnosing and fixing broken or loose wiring is a simple job. I might have taken mine back to the store (I was able to buy it at Hastings, so if you have Hastings where you live, go look for the Syma S107 there, though it's $40), too, but since I love fixing things I might have also looked for the problem first.

  • can you please blow your nose and stop sniffling.

  • Nice vid but you didnt explain why flipping the blade was beneficial, some comments say you can bank and/or move forward/back quicker is this the case?

  • @phate023 I think mine has more forward power after flipping it over. I cant guarantee that it does, but I noticed a difference. The reason I did it in the first place is because I had spare blades that were oriented in the wrong direction so flipping it over was the only way I could use them.

  • THE S107 SUCKS~!!!!! HAHAHAH JK I LOVE MINE TO DEATH!!!!

  • hey what camera do u use

  • @360virus 5d Mark ii

  • Did you ever think to just mount the blade upside down? The hole runs all the way through it and there is plenty of room. It would have saved you quite a bit of effort.

  • @Braddubya8 no such thing as upside down. think again

  • @Braddubya8 That doesn't work, no matter which way you put it on there its oriented in the wrong direction. I did try that :(

  • I like how you can hear electronic noises if you watch this video in 240p of the end when the helicopter is flying.

  • Did you have to reverse the channel flipping the tail motor over? I would think if you press to go forward it would go backwards flipping it like that

  • @Tintamar5678 No you dont have to reverse the channel. If I hadn't flipped the rotor over it would have reacted like you said

  • get the blade mcx2 rtf. its faster and can bank left and right.

  • what does it facing down help with?

  • @ppage27 it helps it go forward and backward faster

  • once you get to 6 channels, you'll be surprised... three and too easy to fly

  • Where can i get a small screwdiver for the syma s107?

Not related question but my s107 keeps spinning and sometimes wont lift also it doesnt hover that well and spins and moves too much in the air

what screws will i need tot tighten?

  • Let's rehearse next time... but I do like it

  • @snikpoh87 Its my first video! haha

  • Ummmmm... Orientation.... Ummmm... Orientation

  • What's the purpose of this mod? Does it make it better?

I'd say, DON'T BUY THIS HELICOPTER. Its infrared and so flies indoors only. The S032 is RFversion so can be flown indoors and outdoors when there is no wind and is bigger so resists the wind better than S107.

  • Nice vid!

Do you also have a mod to make the s107 turn faster?

    Cheers

  • You could always just reverse the polarity on the motor and leave it in the upright position.

  • i just bought one blue!

  • good review, now go blow your nose already! lol

  • Thanks for the vid........best on that shows how to do this mod. The amazon link has sketchy feedback so I found some on ebay. Listing title: "5 TAIL PROPS AIR HOGS HELI ( FITS ALMOST ALL MICRO HELI)"

Also have a Double Hourse 9098 heli i got on ebay. Same size as the 107 but is a little quicker...............cant wait to throw these blades on both!!!

    Thanks again!

  • by modifying the tail blades what more performance did you get?...thanks

  • if its effective with falcon 8839?

    thanks!

  • Any chance of the link for the rear blades :-)

  • @gonads1988 I put a link for the blades in the info for you

  • @joelt45ify PLS HELP I GOT ONE OF THESE BUT MY 1 OF MY BLACK BITS OF THE SIDE WITCH KEEP IT BALENCED FLANG OFF SUM WHERE BUT I DONT NO WHAT ITS CALLED CAN ENY 1 TELL ME WHAT ITS CALLED SO I CAN BUY THE PIECE

  • Did you order the "Set of Four Replacement Tail Props (Qty 4) for Mini Infrared Remote Control Electric Helicopter" on Amazon?

    Thx!

  • @jlimphoto Yeah that was them, it looks like the price has gone up though :(

  • nice vid do u think it can fly outside and why the mod? tx

  • @zaltan132 no you have to buy the outdoor version it cost the same but this one wont work outside because its infred controlled and the sun interferes

  • @zaltan132 I modified the tail rotor for 2 reasons

    1. I accidentally bought spare rotor blades for the tail that would only work if I twisted the rotor in that direction

    2. it gives it more speed, quite a bit more actually, i dont exactly why, but my theory is that the tail rotor is more effective at pushing the tail up, rather than pulling it up, which is how it comes stock.

  • @joelt45ify

That wouldn't be the reason for the speed. The speed is due to higher airspeed thru the prop. Example: for a model airplane prop you can a 7x3 prop or 7x4. The 7 is the diameter in inches. The second number is the axial distance it would move thru a solid (like a gel or mud) in one revolution. A person would use a 6X5 prop for speed and a 8X3 for torque. In your case, you will likely noticed the new blades you bought have a higher angle (pitch).

  • @redrex3 Cool, thanks for the info!
