Now we elect them to public office and let them blather on and on about the global warming so they can pass cap and trade to ruin our economy while gaining nothing environmentally. Clean coal and hydro power = GOOD but cheap.
A logical conclusion then would be to push for all of these over the next century ... with coal and hydro seeing a quick increase ... and solar/wind/nuclear seeing a slow and steady increase.
I doubt we will ever get off of foreign oil, but this would hopefully yield an appreciable decrease in its proportion of our total energy use.
