i think most of the dvd's you can get now have the uncut version. i saw on an interview on my special features that francis coppola got so many letters about stuff being cut out that he went back and edited in the scenes that were filmed but never seen. if you watch the movie and it starts with ponyboy being chased by socs then it's the uncut version. but i would definately recommend the uncut version for any outsider fan
