As I understand it, the military Taps inspired the creation of this song (in 1965). The military Taps is itself derived from a Scottish bugle call... ~Nini Rosso and Guglielmo Brezza wrote this version.~ This young girl did an exquisite job of playing with incredible grace and emotion!
Anyone who has been to a Veterans funeral will recognize this. It,s the original inspiration for taps. She is one the most gifted persons I'v ever heard play this. She's definitely a gift from God to hear her play.
@wendallyn you dumb ass fuck how could this be lip singing 1st of all its obviously coming from her trumpet except for when you hit 1:40 thats background music so stfu i bet you cant play this and your just being a dick so you look better.
I'm surprised that the majority of this world has turned over to crap..i mean rap and have thrown away this awe-inspiring melody of a musical instrument. It blows my mind.
@AoSKicksYourEss ~ Thats interesting... if you knew much past some blatant ignorant cliche.. youd know that some hip hop producers with knowledge of scale and brass fundamentals use samples from not only classical but contemporary pieces of music to make their beats. The reason I stopped by is because i am one of them. but carry on..
There is really not too much to say; this extremely talented young lady's performance says it all. I'm truly humbled as I listen to her beautiful rendition of this haunting melody, and a tear wells up in my eye every time I hear it. To merely say, "Bravo!" doesn't do either her or the song justice. I could throw away the television, turn off the radio, and simply watch and listen to this video repetitively.
