  • too slow. special Olympic choir? director needs to grow balls. good chord at the end.

  • its bad...I've lisented to this at such a fast speed even this feels too slow!

  • Where can I download it?

  • @ECshania actually, it's I believe: "Lord, have mercy"

    Daniel Léo Simpson

    Composer

    San Francisco

  • @ECshania Actually, it's more like 'Lord have mercy on us'. But close enough. :>

  • C'est une bonne version.

  • Mozart's original was at a slow pace.

  • DeathNote's one is better >:O

  • @AceKylar there is no compere between something conteporary and something that is from classical.

  • @AceKylar nobody cares about your abominable taste.

  • This is an lovely 'rendition'...of The Kyrie...from Requiem...thanks, Greg. di

  • wauw

  • Far too slow, what, could the choir not get this down?

  • @DCLT05 I've sung this work as well as conducted it, this seems like a proper tempo to my ear. Why "race" through it? Just to show you can? The idea is to make music, to recreate, hopefully what was in the mind of the composer. Flying through it does little more than turn it into a technical excercise, leaving it flat, emotionless, and uninspiring.

  • @71259mark I totally disagree, and when I say slow, I mean that this feels deliberate, plodding, lifeless and uninspired. Check out the 1991 recording of the Requiem conducted by Sir Neville Marriner and you will hear the difference. That is how the Requiem was meant to be performed, not like this.

  • @DCLT05 "That is how the Requiem was meant to be performed" Oh really???

and just how in the hell do you know THAT ?

I'm sorry, but as I said before, Why "race" through it? Just to show you can? Flying through it does little more than turn it into a technical excercise, leaving it flat, emotionless, and uninspiring.

  • @DCLT05 When YOU conduct it, you have my permission to go faster.

  • @71259mark no need to be rude buddy. I am merely saying that there are certain recordings of the Requiem that are superior to others. Marriner is a legend, and a Grammy winner to boot. He also arranged the soundtrack for "Amadeus." Take a listen between the two recordings and compare for yourself. I think you are mistaking my meaning, I do not mean speed here, but there is something missing from the tempo here that makes this version less enjoyable to listen to.

  • @71259mark search the following: sir neville marriner mozart, kyrie. and you can find the recording that I am referring to. I hope you enjoy!!!

  • @DCLT05 I heard it. It sounds like he's hurrying through it so he can go pee.

  • @71259mark well, agree to disagree. I have performed this on a number of occasions and this sounds like a practice session to me.

  • @71259mark may I ask where you have conducted and performed this?

  • I LOVE MOZART!

  • Ugh! I love it. Such complicated harmony lol. We're singing this in our college chorus. Simply amazing.

  • I'm currently studying in Vienna and one of the primary reasons I chose this city is in the hope of seeing this performed. And it will be in April- I am so excited! this is such a fun composition to sing.

  • I love this song. Its amazing. The guy with the guitar playing it is amazing too. Lolz.

  • why does every retarded conductor insist on playing this so fucking slow? this should move

  • @Scottthefish I totally agree, have you ever performed this?

  • una ovacion de pie es lo menos que se puede hacer

  • kocham to
