Everyone, quite criticizing the SWAT team. No SWAT team members arrived until long after the killers committed suicide. It wouldn't have made a difference, had they gone in. Plus, they were following protocol; there was so much confusion, so many conflicted reports about how many gunmen; where the gunmen were; if they were still killing. This was the first major tragedy of the cell-phone era. And the tactics were changed after Columbine -- now there is Active Shooter Protocol.

You must have a real nice school if most of the jocks are good guys. I wouldn't deny that Eric and Dylan had psychological problems. County, state, and federal all mixed together with no clear and unified chain of command. It took them at least an hour to get any idea of who was supposed to be in charge. People focus on the drama and the tragedy, and that is human nature, but there is a very wonderful story that cam out of this tragedy that makes all the sadness and loss bearable. Rachael Scott was a Christian girl who was killed in this shooting, and after her death, so very prophetic and poignant things began to surface which showed that God had a purpose even in this terrible event. Since seeing the video, THOUSANDS of people, young and old alike have embraced Jesus by faith and been saved.

According to Marilyn Mansons followers influenced Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold through his music . The ultimate slap-in-the-face came from Manson as he held a concert just outside of where the Columbine High School Massacre took place in honor of the two maniacal killers. Manson said he was sick of hearing about the Christians like Cassie Bernall and Rachael Scott who died at Columbine. He said the true heroes were Klebold and Harris who killed all of the kids.

Anyone saying it's good that Eric and dylan died. It's not good. Nobody deserved to die that day.
Anyone saying why didnt the swat go straight in, there were propane bombs in the cafeteria, police didn't know if Eric and Dylan were dead or not and they didn't know if any other shooters were in there. They have to be cautious.
Btw that day is 22hrs after my sid was born

@TheHammer266- Some of it has to do with police tactics of the time, and a total disorganization of the law enforcement agencies present. County, state, and federal all mixed together with no clear and unified chain of command. It took them at least an hour to get any idea of who was supposed to be in charge. Ultimately, I agree with the assessment of many that three freakin' hours was inexcusable. No inefficient tactics or muddled chain of command can excuse that kind of inaction.

People focus on the drama and the tragedy, and that is human nature, but there is a very wonderful story that cam out of this tragedy that makes all the sadness and loss bearable. Rachael Scott was a Christian girl who was killed in this shooting, and after her death, so very prophetic and poignant things began to surface which showed that God had a purpose even in this terrible event. Since seeing the video, THOUSANDS of people, young and old alike have embraced Jesus by faith and been saved.

@apologeticsman i don't see the "prophetic and poignant things" you are talking about. yes, she was christian, and yes, she was killed in the shootings. if you're referring to the story where one of the shooters asked her if she believed in god, and she chose to die rather than to deny her belief, it is untrue. it's based off inaccurate information. the question was asked to another girl, who stumbled with the question and ultimately didn't answer it. she was not killed in the incident.

She knew she was going to die, yet chose to continue going to school there so that her life could reach many people for Jesus.

@Scene68 God gave her dreams and visions about her demise, and I personally believe she chose to be obedient to God and die for a greater good. If you watch the video called "Untold Stories of Columbine" her father Daryl explains it in great detail, and gives documentation to prove what he is saying. She knew she was going to die and she accepted it as God's will, and now THOUSANDS of people are saved after seeing her father's video.
