you say that like you think it's a negative thing.

Yes Grizzly Bear is pop... as opposed to Jazz, or Chamber, or Baroque, or modernist avante-garde something or other.

They use a formula: write melodies and lyrics, sing over them and create arrangements based on these central and sung melodies. Therefore they are pop.

Also, they are incredibly talented at working within this genre and I love them
