  • I saw Van der Graaf last year at Pittsburgh's Rex theatre, and let me tell you, those guys are amazing on records, but in a concert, they just blow me away, these are giants, I only could imagine see them with David Jackson....

  • I think this is the very best song on Trisector. Trust VDGG to write a song about quantum physics ... they make a benign physical event like wave interference sound genuinely terrifying.

And great use of stretto on that opening riff throughout -- appropriate for a tune called "Interference Patterns". I've never heard Hammill write such damn sophisticated music for his lyrics before.

  • I love this long and this album. Thanks for posting!

  • What a war room.

I wonder, what Steve Reich would say to this. . .

  • yes maybe the best of Trisector...with something out of Soft Machine VI and Gentle Giant.

And Mr. Hammill (the prince of pride) keeps losing friends...

  • I liked it !

  • When i Firs time heard that song on Trisector I Didn't like it But when I Heard that live version I thought that is a grat track Too bad that Hammill is not singin this way on album version

  • Fantastico! La miglior canzone del disco nuovo! Alex

  • This is a great song from a great band. Peter Hammill can still sing brilliantly!

  • Hahaha! I would love to hear more of the audience reaction at the end! Really marvellous! Hugh did well on that one! %^D
