this is why she is the queen ! she does things with her voice that no one can do! it's not about hitting high and loud notes, its the subtle things that she does that set her apart has the top diva ever! Her voice is not even like it used to be but being a true diva it doesn't make any difference! she will kill any song, any time, and any place!

He is the light of the World. I played this many times in my life, and the last was on Hammond Organ at Bebee Memorial church in Oakland California .

I hear there is a video of this performance somewhere. Aretha recorded one of my songs for an HBO series, but after 2 takes she had one of her Diva moments and walked out of the studio, and it was never released.

I know Aretha has made some great secular hits but Gospel is her signature I don't care what nobody says. That's her roots & what I like abt her she'll tell u that's where she started & continues to be rooted & grounded. It's just in her. Praise Him!!

Aretha has never performed a Concert that I've attended where she did not sing at least 2 gospel songs, generally at the ending. I used to attend her father's Revivals as a young teen when living in Detroit, MI many years ago. :-)
