Back up that claim that there was ever any kind of movement to lower the age of sexual consent to 13. If liberal ideas had prevailed, the age of consent would likely now be around 13, as was advocated by progressives who viewed adolescence realistically as the onset of full sexuality & thus the age at which youngsters could claim sexual rights. JK doesn't deny going with teenagers, but says they were old enough to make up their own minds about these things, & the sex was just a matter of friendly fun & affection, as was quite common in those days.
