personally some of the voicings are too muddy, and there's too much activity where reid anderson originally composed less activity, lending to more beauty in the song

I agree, I also thing if this arrangement were arranged for a chamber group with some different instruments it would more effectively isolate individual lines, expanding the musical space the piece can traverse.
