Resident evil 1-3 on ps1 were amazing. I didnt care for 4 but i liked 5. Also liked some of the others like code veronica and suvivor.

for people who didnt know it,the 1st game was ported to sega saturn and pc.imo the resident evil series was really great except for the control scheme,RE4 may have been easier for some due to a working control scheme(i bet if they remade all re games and gave it 4's control scheme they would be easier 2).RE 4 was the greatest one imo(5 rides off of 4's coat tails) and i had to much fun being scared to death overall in the game and doing halo head shots in chapter 4 and many other chapters.

already a half minute in the review you make a MAJOR mistake in the review by saying the game was originaly released on the N64, when it was released on the ps1 .it's one of the first games that made the PS1 a great system and created Survival horror games. the game was remade 3 times (directors cut version for PS1, Gamecube version and this version). the controls in this game is simular to almost every horror game ever made, aswell as a bunch of exploring/action games made on the PS1.

the game was first made in sega saturn..then its came up on the playstation 1 called resident evil but the game was still to hard so they came out with resident evil directers cut.something like that.the game was way easier..one shot with a shotgun you could kill 3 zombies in a row..and then they made it for gamecube .and then they made it for nintendo wii called resident evil archives..so the game was made 5 times.they should now make for ps3 or xbox360..but capcom is to stupid..

You don't know the difference between a remake and a port do you? The original was made for the PS1, ported to Saturn, then ported to the DS. The game was remade for the Gamecube, and then PORTED to the Wii... Not remade again. It's only been REMADE once... No one would remake a remake.

I wonder why Capcom ports their games. I am gonna guess which versions of games are better. RE1 for GCN, RE2 for mostly every system, RE3 for PS1 and Dreamcast (cannot decide), RE4 for all systems its on (excluding handhelds),Code: Veronica for Dreamcast and PS2 (once again cant decide), and RE5 for Xbox 360 and PC (Alternative Edition for PS3 looks cool but its not out yet). Damn Capcom knows how to makes cool games.

RE1 was on the PS1, Saturn, Director's Cut (PS1), Remade on GameCube, Nintendo DS(Which was a bad game) and then the GameCube version ported on Wii.

hmm... indeed... in my opinion the looks really good though I have only have the DS version (actually it kinda was bad). I played the demo for RE5. REmake looks awesome. Here is what I would get RE1 (PSN, GCN, Saturn), RE2 (PS1, PSN, N64, Dreamcast), RE3 (PS1, Dreamcast), RE Code: Veronica (Dreamcast, PS2 GCN), RE4 (PS2, and GCN, maybe Wii but I dont have one). Obviously I would get RE5. Oh and I wanna make reviews on them, but have to wait to get tools. Oh PS I wish I had a Dreamcast.

You can play the Original on PS1 or PC version so you hear the "Jill Sandwich, Master of unlocking" and Richard saying "Ouch..." XD

But for a better version, get the RE Remake for GameCube or RE: Archives for Wii and be sure you have atleast a GameCube or Classic Controller. These versions will take longer than the Original to beat.
