I'm impressed that so many of you already know of this great band I just discovered. Over 74,000 plays. Wow. Maybe other feel born in the wrong era like me, huh? Not everybody is into rap/hip-hop.
@whitepoeticwarrior don't feel bad about it, i had downloaded some of their songs at one time and than forgot them in my old portable HDD :/ i am just like you
CAN breaks the rules of tension and release better than anyone, EVER. I have never heard a band that can build up so much musical tension, hold it there for like seven minutes, and then just fade out before resolving. I mean I guess if we start talking like contemporary classical music then yeah, but that shit just doesnt hold a candle to these dudes. Best thing to come out of Germany since the holocaust.
Exprimental band who inspire themself instead of the commercial area. Great recording. Don't forget that we are on the begening of hi tech tools. I like the long lasting sound of Karoli (guitar) and the keiboard.
I stick to much on it. !! New technologie with a unique talented band. The singner and crazzzzzy psychedelich guitar player (carrrroly) are to much...
they,ve been so often commented on by 80's journalists that lots have heard them now.Punk bands likeP.i.l even worked with a member and many bands obviously liked thei spirit of experimentation. Left a great chain in rock for us to climb.
My gosh I'd love to hear from any American fans of this album on this comment forum, ones that bought it when it came out in 1969! What was YOUR experience like when you first heard this?!
When I first heard it, so many years ago, it just swept me off my feet... And it still does today. It's like a raw piece of rare meat, like a desert sun turned wild, like a knife slowly cutting it's way through your stomach... it beats your head against the wall, and yet, it's so sweet and tender and luring that you might almost wish to be out there, in that desert, under the burning sun... MADNESS!!!
i listened to this song on vinyl the other day, i was totally gutted by Karoli's guitar playing. It was one of the most amazing listening experiences i've had
I sincerely don't give a shit about guitar techniques.
Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, players like those, for me, are souless guitar players.

Maybe Karoli doesn't have much fame/consagration as those I said, but there it is another I don't mind: fame/consagration.
yeah you re right, i know what you're talking about... you can really feel how these songs are so very unlively, just a product like soap or a fan, sold on christmas, thrown away 2 weeks later.
but that wasn t my question, see i realise the guitar in this song not as a leading element.. and so im just wondering how anything can be "that" special, playing in the background, doing nothing special.
you mentioned some guitarrists, what do you think about dave navarro?
You see, that's exactly why do I think his guitar is great.
He respects the song by choosing notes, he does not want to steal the scene from the song. But, on the same time, this song is nothing without his guitar.

thats nearly the same of what i mean too many cannot feel or understand the passion... but on the other side a lot of people do not like this style, well at least this is for me the answer why i can't turn on the radio these days. i didn t heard of any underground band doing it a smiliair way. @KERAKAO I don't agree with that at all, I think you are just looking for modern music in the wrong places! @KERAKAO Well, fair enough. The epic stylings of yesteryear have largely evaporated, no question! But I still don't fully agree with you- pop music works in phases: first, new music styles are invented by avant-guarde musicians (like Can). This leads to new genres of music, which become "mainstream'd," milked to death, discarded, and the cycle starts over.
