Hey the drummer isnt bad hes just not playing as fast as our friend Lars. He's at least keeping time and doing better than most of you who are saying he sucks. I think hes doing a good job at keeping a beat for the guitarist to switch to a different song when he feels is needed.

The problem is not that he's not hitting the strings hard enough. It's just that he uses a bad setting on his amp. If he's gonna do a metallica cover he should know that he should have a more heavy setting.

Hmm.. Not all too bad.. But a tip for both of you..

Guitarist: more power, hit the strings harder so you get that mean metal sound and don't keep your fingers on the frets all the time.. Give some space to open strings, and less middle and more bass on your amp:P

No, it's not a lefty. It's right handed with an inverted head stock. It's not an Ibanez either, it's a Jackson. I've had it since 2001 and I love it.

For distortion, I use a Danelectro Fab Tone. Been using that pedal for 10 years and it's been my favorite over any other pedal for distortion. For other effects, I have an old Zoom 505. I'm running it through a Marshall half stack, 100MGFDX head. I think that's what it's called.

@jeremy102478 - Buy a digital amp or a tube amp with a screamer pedal. Your Fender amp doesnt have enough gain to get that tone..... Basically anything Fender sucks for playing metal!

I have explained this before.. This was our FIRST video and the drummer was just learning to play, and was new to Metallica. Check out our other videos and you'll see how much he has improved. I guess we need to remake this video now that he plays so much better.

We are both right at the 30 year old mark. I am the guitar player, and have been listening to Metallica around 12 years.. so I do know their music very well. However, the drummer has been listening to them for only a few months now. I just added a new video last night, garage band metal jam #3 so check it out!

Yeah I'll agree with you, it wasn't my best. But I didn't want to redo the whole video again because of one bad part. Sometimes I play it with a pick, other times I plan it with my fingers.. just depends on the mood I'm in. Let me know when you get yours made so I can judge you.
