everyone says i'm crazy, but I think Mr. Bingley is so much more amazing than Mr. Darcy. He is so shy and nervous and adorable. And you can see how oblivious he is to anyone other than Jane.
I love this movie so much!!! It's probably one of the only films that do the actual novel it's based off of justice! I love how subtle it is. I love the moving music in the background. I love how well each character plays their role. I love the fact that each and every scene in the movie is important; fluff is practically nonexistent. I love the fact that I can watch it over and over again and still be moved and intrigued. They did an excellent job.
i love them both in this movie i didnt reall think matthew mcfayden was cute at first but then i watched it some more and now i freakin love him he is handsome in a darcy aloof type of way
hello! I wrote in french a storytelling in homage to "Darcy et Elisabeth". I published it on google books to appear soon. Like you I find this movie perfect. And the music very beautiful
Yeah it was and they stayed to the book a lot better than most of the movies do. I just watched Masterpeice Theater's Jane Eyre and I normally like Masterpeice because they stick to the book. Next think I know Jane and Rochester are practically having sex in my favorite scene (when Rochester's begging her to stay and sobbing). That scene used to be filled with such love and they made it too lusty. Plus why would jane have a makeout session with him as she tells him she won't sin with him?
I loved Matthew Mcfayden as Mr. Darcy, and Keira Knightley did amazing as well. They were slightly inaccurate when it came to Knightley though...Elizabeth Bennet is said to be plain throughout the book, and, I'm sorry, but Knightley looks everything but in the movie! :) She can't help but be gorgeous.
I've actually read the book quite recently, and that couldn't be further from the truth. The Bennet sisters are regarded as the most beautiful girls of their area. They DO say that Jane is the most beautiful of the five, but they also say that Elizabeth was the next in beauty. Lizzy wasn't as beautiful as Jane, but she was rather attractive in her own way.
welll in the book it describes her "dark fine eyes" and "light and pleasing figure" which keira definitely has. and if lizzie was to unnatractive, the movie wouldnt be as...idk.. intense.
Best soundtrack that I know of in the 21st century !

god the studios really betrayed the book by sticking a proposal scene in the nice, dramatic rain!
but...it was still a fantastic scene.

i agreewith you 100% on the masterpiece theatre jane eyre...they should not have made that wonderful part in the book a sexfest.

I know! On the cover of the movie I just noticed it uses the phrase "heaving bodices". Ugh.
