  • what do you play ? is it a song ?

  • Is the Mandola and Mandolin the same?

  • @Darkwolve123

    no, man.

the Mandola usually is an octave under the mandolin

  • @Quarionas01010 actualy, sorry to rain on your parade, but, Mandolin is tuned GDAE, mandola is tuned CGDA octave mandolin is tuned GDAE, greek bouzouki is tuned CCFF and irish bouzouki is tuned GDAD.

  • @brndnlnd

I made a mistake, I intended to say the octave mandolin (or octave mandola) is an octave under the mandolin...

however the irish bouzuki can be GDAD or GDAE (two octaves under the mandolin)

  • @Quarionas01010 ive never tried bouzouki in that tuning,. it might be easier if your coming from mandolin.

  • @brndnlnd

i think octave mandolin and bouzuki with that tuning had be made to join the instruments of the family...

i passed from mandolin to an octave mandola and it's more easy (i think this tuning is the best).

    GDAE power xD

  • well is this a mandola? it's too big to be, no? a mandola is just larger slightly than a mandolin. this must be an 'octave' mandolin.

  • Nice and lively - a nice tune well played. I'm just learning mandolin myself and have started with this tune. I play the exact same version as you, just one octave higher and way, way slower!

  • Terrific playing. Well done :) Bri

  • Beautiful sound, Arnaud!

  • Great playing. I can't help wondering about the sound, though—is your action too low? It sounds like your strings are buzzing on the frets.

  • @zeppy13131

Very low action indeed. It is so comfortable to play. I don't mind the tiny-weeny buzzing on the 3rd course the slightest bit.

  • Hey dude, is your oct. mandola in a guitar tuning? or normal mandola tuning?. or whatever the normal tuning is for an octave mandola

  • this song is ryan`s favoritue

  • Really nice, great mandola, too.

Just one thing: You shouldn´t have such a serious facial expression, smile!

  • i want one how much

  • Pas mal

  • woahh thats damn good :) and yu have kool hair xD

  • Sounds really fine!

Where did you by that one?

  • Amazing Player

  • hahahahahahaha mor de rire lachanbre c moi votre eleve alper altinok 4°1 anné scolaire 2008/2009 college paule valery hahahaha trapel de moi pd

  • lovely version

  • Its a mystery to me how you manage to find and afford the spectrum of instruments you do

  • I guess living a life of misery must be the answer!

  • I'm in college, and I just bought my second mandolin of the year, so I can appreciate that! Here's to enduring misery for music!

  • Fine mate. Where the fuck are your vids? I'd like to have a closer look at your playing...

It's a shame you should write such a crap comment. In case you don't know, I've also been into extreme metal for 25 years!

So are you a true brother in metal, or just a complacent despising ignorant asshole? Think twice dude...

  • I hate dumbasses like that. giving a bad rep to metalheads. the Metal Band Eluveitie has A FUCKING MANDOLIN PLAYER! and they kick ass!!!

  • its a mandola, and hes fucking awesome. thats what got me into mandolin and mandola! eluveitie is so awesome.

  • I ment mandola my bad lol but u get my point. they got me into the tin whistle too:)

  • @mroubison They me got into the tin whistle too. Now im trying mandola.. :P Eluveitie is the best!

  • Don't listen to this dude. He doesn't know what the crap he's talkin' about. This was awesome.

  • great playing! what kind of mandolin is that. i can't find it on anywebsites i go on.

  • Hi and thank you. This is an Irish tenor mandola (one octave below the mandolin). It was built by a fine French maker and a good friend of mine: Philippe Berne. Check out his website.

  • Nice. You look like Metallica's new bassist.

  • Oh? Shit...

  • AWESOME!! Could you do a lesson on that ...slowly for us slow pokes?

  • Thanks. Sure! I'll let you know when it's on line.
