  • People criticize Kerouac for not being sensitive to African- or Native Americans which of course he wasn't, but he tried to be and at the time he wrote The Subterraneans it was a very radical thing for a white-Catholic-Canuck-Iroquois-American to try to love and dream with an African-Cherokee-American! Their doomed love is nonetheless a very touching love story and his attempts to understand, even in his racist and sexist mindset, is real and moving - and it gives hope to overcome our history.

  • Thank you, Daniel, that is a very cool composite and the music is very fine 'behind' it (or is that in front of it?).........Hey, if you can find some images of "Mardou" and splice her in that would be the greatest....Let me know if you'd like to!

  • Interesting...... Dig the music bed

  • @helmet19 thank you brian ! this was a spur of the moment compo when my friend sent out the recording of kerouac, and so i thought it could use a beat background or whatever it was i was playing, since jack did invent the whole concept of beat . never was my cup of tea but it's fun now and then to improvise like that .

  • Uh, I'm not sure how to comment....
