© Bertram Kottmann

  • ill have this read out at my funeral

  • Can't stop looking at it!

  • She disliked Gabriel`s Wife The Stunningly Beautiful Lizzie Siddal although she grew to respect Her.

  • Strange!

  • Oh, I really enjoyed your reading!

  • no she says if thou wilt remember...god damn it.

  • You'd be better off doing "No Thank you John" by Christina Rosetti.

I don't know why but I just picture you saying that poem to someone named john.

  • Your face at 00:47... incredible fit with the song.

  • Your face at 00:47... incredible fit with the song.

  • the whole production is great!!!..and that actress is so freaking hot!!!

  • Was Christina Rosetti really that good? It sounds like a bunch of bloated poetic cliché-needling to me. She's learnt the idiom of the poet, but in the end has very little to say.

  • @henripche Rossetti was amazing.

  • This is beauty!

  • Love the simple, clear frankness of it. In the poem and the performance, it is brilliant. Death is all it is. Death is it, nothing to be embellished. It is a fact of life.

  • Well done piece of work!

  • beautifull poem. (: x

  • You know what is uncanny, is, I was listening to a more classical rendition of the poem,

then I come to this and by the sudden, I see pop culture in a nutshell!

What a finite thing, and to know that it isn't going to last forever makes it unacknowledgable at all.

  • have i told you lately how much i love this piece,...?

    i love it.

  • i heard this poem on my way home after a long drive what an awsome piece

  • AWESOME!!, it made me fall in love even more with this poem...

  • well done!! that was a great rendition!!!

  • A really good interpretation, Keep up the standard and you will have many fans of Christina Rossetti tuning-in

  • Barnabas Collins aka Jonathan Frid covered this in the 1969 Philips album DARK SHADOWS.

  • Such weary eyes "shadows deep"

  • you have an awesome captive voice!!

    ;p

    great!

  • brilliant poem, brilliant delivery.

  • Poets, Poems, ROCK!!!!!!!!!

  • effectively simply.

  • Wow. Good job. I absolutely adore Christina Rossetti's poetry.....

  • Who is this girl?? She is STUNNING - Absolutely STUNNING!!

  • This is beautiful. Your little sigh after "I shall not hear the nightgale sing on as if in pain" is just perfect. The crisp deliverance of the last line emphasises the finality of the subject matter. The music is wonderful too, I find it almost chilling.

  • I very much appreciate your interpretation of Christina Rossetti. I ADORE her poems!

  • Hey...I once made a Song from that wonderful poem. I posted it here... I love Christina Rosetti.

And yours is a really good interpretation.
