In 1988 a friend of mine in high school gave this soundtrack to me since she knew I liked different genres of music (I am not Indian). At the time, I did not know the songs were from a movie. I just thought the songs were lovely especially this one. Years later I went and bought the movie just to see the video and I have to say, I loved the songs when did not know the music video, even though Dimple and Anil have fantastic chemistry. Still, this song continues to be my fav from the film.

@ramils you are right that we should get over the differences,but there is nothing common in muslims and hindus,and dont try to intermingle two religions and two nation theory,we can live as good neighbours but dont try to intermingle with pakistani culture,we are different in every aspect with hindus,we eat cows,hindus worship it etc etc so good neighbours we can be, but we cant be `one `keep it in mind

If we want to see differences, we wil find many, If we want to similarities we will find many. Dont we share similar culture and history? Yes we separated in 1947 and for a cause but that doesnt mean we were not 1 before that or we didnt fight side by side like brothers to get freedom from British.

There cant be two Gods, there is only one creator and we all know him by different names - So Is it a reason to fight among ourselves? We both have such beautiful music, why not share and enjoy that. In 1988 a friend of mine in high school gave this soundtrack to me since she knew I liked different genres of music (I am not Indian). At the time, I did not know the songs were from a movie. I just thought the songs were lovely especially this one. Years later I went and bought the movie just to see the video and I have to say, I loved the songs when did not know the music video, even though Dimple and Anil have fantastic chemistry. Still, this song continues to be my fav from the film.
