  • I want to be like her when I am 99!!!! I want to alwasy ride!!!

  • HECK YEAH!!

  • I guess her time was up. How special she was and her Fave horse, probably knew it was time too.

  • WOW.... GREAT video! Thanks for sharing this.

"A cowgirl never complains, she just does what needs doin'!"

"A cowgirl is never afraid of the truth, but she's always prepared to deal with it."

  • I know someone personally who should be included with these lady's! Donna W. Alverson & her Quarter Horse Judd Honeycutt. Worlds womens rodeo champion at the Calgery Stampede two years running, once when she was pregnant! Last heard, she was living in Sparr, FL. She also owned Honeycutt Farm in Macintosh, FL. Gotta love these true horsewomen! And the tales they have to tell!

  • 72 soon and breed raise and am part horse all my life..AQHA-APPY-and now gypsy horses.. Would love to make your acquaintance..I am in California and leave soon for Fort Worth to watch my gypsy stallion and 1/2 sis be shown! Celeste Huston

  • Way to go Connie, you are such an inspiration! R.I.P sister! May you enjoy sweet trail rides in summer land.

  • I want to be her when I grow up!

  • Sometimes seniors just don't wanna give up....and that's ok. I've known several people over 80 yrs old who were thrown from their horse and died even though they were riding a trusted long-time friend. However, I'm sure everyone of them died doing what they love to do and isn't that better than being killed by a drunk driver or horrific disease....I believe it is and I bet they would too. RIP Connie, you have inspired many

  • this poor amazing woman died after being thrown from her fav horse dr. pepper! RIP Mrs connie reeves! your every cowgirls idol!

  • @Horsecountrycowgirl i agree! shes everything i want to be!

  • This women is my new idol! " Always saddle your own horse, always know what you are doing and go in the direction your heading"most inspiring words ever!

  • Ok, so this what I want to be when I grow up!! Yup just like her! So, I guess I better start saddling my own horse, instead of my helpers doing it, eh? heehe

    God Bless our Seniors!!

  • She is definitely someone who deserves the upmost respect! She's my new idol!

  • this is just incredible!

  • This woman is my hero. I hope I'm still teaching horsemanship when I'm 101. God Bless her!

  • Sometimes I'll get out here and it's just like taking a nice cold drink of beer.

  • Oh my god she is my idol. She shows so much honor, proud and strength. I nearly started to cry because she is so amazing. I never saw such a wonderful woman before.

  • The two people who dislikes this has no heart.

  • WHERE CAN I SEE THE FULL MOVIE?!?!?!

  • Loved watching and listening to this Lady - I think that small stetson she wore was very cool - does any one know what brand of hat it was ?

  • what a beautiful and amazing woman...she put the biggest smile on my face:). truley a remarkable woman

  • Whoo Hoo! Truly a remarkable woman to remember and emulate. Live long and ride ladies!

  • She died not long after this at age 101 I really wish I could have met such an inspirational woman. I think she lived so long because she spent her life doing the thing she loved. We could all take a page out of this womans book.

  • A true inspiration to all women of all ages and lifestyles!

  • This gal can ride! At 101 years of age she is still tall in the saddle! Imagine that, most of use are 10 feet under at that age let alone still sitting in the saddle.. she considers herself a horse back rider and still saddles her own horse and gets on her self. This is my kind of gal. This is the true image of a "Real American Cowgirl".

I just love this woman, she is the inspiration for all women of all ages and lifestyles, I say always gas up your own truck and raise your own kids!

  • "Saddle up your own horse."

A saying to live your life by (and I don't even ride horses!)

    God Bless!

    :)

  • One Great Lady !!!!!

  • Wow! God Bless her! and I am more amazed she still looks tall for her age.

  • Thank God for cowgirls like this!! If it weren't for their grit the rest of us wouldn't be able to do what we do..God Bless!!

  • Love the girl! Thanks for enlightening us women.

  • Thank you for posting this and doing the video. I was also able to see some live shots and other pictures of my grandma Wilma Tate

  • Mrs. Connie is wonderful, I hope I'm like her when I get older :) I wish I could have had the chance to meet her

  • Connie was an amazing inspiration. I worked with and for her for 6 summers at Waldemar. She was full of consternation, vim and vigor. She always salted the hell out of her food and liked her beer as much as the next gal. It wasn't the healthy eating and exercise that kept Connie young. It was doing what she loved, unapologetically for the entirety of her life. I remember her often with fondness and gratitude for giving me my first paying horse job.

  • That was truely inspiring! Women to truely look up to!

  • That was pretty cool.

  • Connie was an amazing woman. I ad the honor of working with her for two summers at Camp Waldemar. Connie passed away in August of 2003, in the saddle until the last. The sorrel and white paint gelding she rides in this video was her favorite mount, named Dr Pepper.

  • this is the best damn video iv seen! connie is my insperation now i really do look up to her! (:

  • Wow! Thats just, just cool!! :D

  • Fantastic ... you go cowgirl, I only wish and pray to god that she is I at that age.

    Congrat's

    Angela

  • Go Cowgirls! How awesome and inspiring, brought tears to my eyes just watching this!

  • She is so amzing!! All us cowgirls and horseridinggirls should stay in top shape so we can carry on the the horse riding generation!!! And spend our whole life with the things we love- horses

  • Amen. That is why I'm going to get back into shape and ride again. Let's just say that I've really let myself go in the past decade or so.

  • wow i wish when i was so old, i siding in the saddel too. it´s so great. wow

  • That lady is 101 and can saddle a horse on her own when I'm 16 and can barley even get a saddle on a horse that tall.

  • May we all ride that long.

  • I love this! "Stand on your own two feet and saddle your own horse!" What Spirit! I only have 38 more years till I can catch up with her!

  • What an inspiration she is to us all!!

  • wow That is amazing she still has the heart and passon for it. I am 33 and ride with my 2 daughters. We are all horse crazy.

  • Ok cowgirls, this is so inspiring. Share with all you horsegirl friends. We can ride until we are 100+ !!
