Luck is a beast. but 2 say he's the best College QB since Peyton is just plain false. I would put Tebow and Newton ahead of him. Honestly he's not even the best this year. RG3 is.
Robert Griffin deserved the heisman and all you stanford fans need to stop complaining. Luck has recievers, a great o line, and a good defense. Griffin doesn't have shit except a good reciever, he is Baylor
@DrunkenRaiderz Big 12 has the WORST defense in the country Griffin played teams with worser pass defesnes than Luck did. I don't what the fuck your talking about.
Ive been hearing a lot of shitheads saying lately Griffin and Barkley are better QB's LMAO. Luck plays the pro style offense with basically no weapons and yet he still threw for 35 TD and only lost one game. Griffin got injured and his team still puts up 66 WTF? that's a system QB for you.
Put Luck in the spread and I won't be suprised if he threw 60 TD.
@DrunkenRaiderz All raider fans are nothing but pea brains who deserve bullets in their heads. The Pac 12 is the Conference of Champions and Big 12 is a weak ass overrated conference that doesn't play defense. Stanford is going to kill the cowgirls and their 30 year old QB who shouldn't be allowed on a college field. Stanford 55, cowgirls 21
@stanfordite Yeah thats the funniest freakin joke ive heard in a long time. Since Andrew Suck can't even beat Oregon and they're not even known for their defense
@BaylorBear34 baylor fans don't know anything about football, now get the FUCK off our video and Luck did beat Oregon once and he's better than your wannabe because he's white.
RGIII is without a doubt one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. He does put up better numbers than Andrew Luck this year, too, except Stanford is a run-first team. They have 3 amazing running backs and an emerging freshman behind without a doubt the best offensive line in the country. For example, Andrew Luck only attempted 17 passes for 169 yards against Washington, yet Stanford put up 65 points on them, Luck is also one of the only qb's ever to have been given total play call responsibilt
@hellostanfordtree Luck is a great QB, and this is a good post. But i think that there is a huge misconception with Baylor that just because RGIII has been so explosive, we aren't also balanced.
Baylor is the ONLY team in the country to average 300 yards/game passing & 200 yards/game rushing. RGIII is 42nd in the nation in pass attempts with 369 (30/game) while Andrew Luck has 373 attempts (31/game).
Luck had another GREAT year, but RGIII has been the best overall player
@robo98564 Thats true man. It could easily go either way. Its a bummer Baylor's defense was a little better. I think if it was, Baylor could be playing for a BCS Championship. RGIII definitely deserves it! As does Luck, Mathieu, Ball, and Richardson. They are all great football players and young men. We will just have to wait and see!
RGIII is an overrated joke in a conference with the worst passing D in the country and Barkley should be banned from consideration because he plays for the University of Sanctioned Cheaters.
@robo98564 we're gonna destroy the cowgirls by at least 3 TDs, and I hope griffin breaks his spinal cord and ends up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Interesting note on Griffin's passing yardage: He is the ONLY QB of the top 23 QBs in yardage to have less than 400 pass attempts (369). Comparing him directly to Andrew Luck, who everyone claims is hurt by the fact that he plays in a balanced offense, Luck has 373 pass attempts, 4 more than Griffin.
RG3's Heisman Resume: #1 in Pass Efficiency (192.3), #1 in Yards per Attempt (10.8), #5 in Completion Percentage (72.4), #6 in Yards (3998), #2 in All Purpose Yards (4657), #4 in Passing Touchdowns (36), #2 in All Purpose Touchdowns (45), 3rd lowest INT total of nation's top QBs, and did all this while playing the 8th toughest schedule according to the Sagarin Ratings
If he doesn't win the Heisman, they may as well discontinue the award. RG3 for Heisman
RGIII should win - and it's not even close. He's the best passer in the nation, he's the best running QB in the nation. 700 yards more and better TD to INT ratio than Luck against better competition. It doesn't matter what happened last year and it doesn't matter that Luck came back for his senior season. I'm an SEC homer and want Richardson to win, but to be it's RGII nad it's not close
to those who say rg III has tough competition and Luck doesnt, I say there is one key component that is associated with many of the greatest quarterbacks, which andrew has and rg iii doesnt. Andrew Luck wins games!!! ultimately thats what matters in the long run
If Luck is awarded this trophy over Robert Griffin III the award no longer means anything. Out performing other players against tougher competition will mean less than mere popularity.
@rationalmind1 It's not mere popularity. I come from a Baylor family, but Luck beats Griffin in every way. He does better under pressure, he has better accuracy, and he knows how to handle the ball in the red zone. Robert Griffin is a great quarter back but he just doesn't compare to Andrew Luck.
@winginater I stand correct with the statistics and for that I apologize. I am not doubting that RD3 is a fantastic QB, but Luck is an over all better QB he produces results. The stats aren't what make the player. An example of this is that, I have a friend who is ranked 200th in the nation in tennis. But, she is for sure better than 65% of the players ranked above her. She is only ranked lower because she goes up against better opponents than some other players do, so her record is not as good
Its this new tool called google, you should try it. Check the latest Sagarin ratings: Baylor-6, Stanford-35. . Luck is a solid quarterback and will make a great pro, but he is not Heisman worthy.
Also, this has to be the most underwhelming "highlight" video I have ever seen. Didn't see one single pass more than 15 yards down the field. Snoooooooze.
Has Faced ZERO top 35 Pass Defenses. He's only 15 QB rating points higher than Alabama's mediocre QB and AJ McCarron at Alabama has face 7 Top 35 pass defenses to AJ's ZERO!
@MEPBlue1 What are McCarron's yardage among those defenses? you can play safe with your passing game if you have Trent Richardson commanding the offense.
@TheBharad6 Well, AJ averaged about 220 yards against them but Trent shred a Top 5 defense for 187 total yards. Fact, Andrew Luck's #s are not like they were in 2010. His chance to win was last year. He's going to be great in the NFL but, this isn't a lifetime achievement award.
Heisman voters: Glad you are looking at all options for the greatest college football player. After all consideration of value, skill, excellence, leadership, integrity, dynamism, and rock-bottom success -- any choice other than A. Luck would be misguided. I think it is clear. Make your vote well and let's check out the BCS Fiesta Bowl, it will be a blast!

That's true, you have seniors on your team, including Fleener and the Trees, plus you've had Owusu all year until..... But that's cool kiddies. USC's freshman and 65 schollie players are better than your full compliment of upperclassmen schollies and 105 players. and yes, you can lay claim to the 3OT win, only because theball was given to you on a fumble; otherwise, SC scores and we go to 4OT.... no way to say who wins at that point.
@thekatman2 I'm sorry that Luck is undefeated against USC, racked up your worst loss since 1966, killing your BCS hopes, and that your coaching staff deems it necessary to cheat to stay relevant. I know it hurts, but luckily for you he's going to graduate (here let me define it for a USC fan: According to google, a graduate is, "A person who has been awarded an undergraduate academic degree.") and then he'll play in this thing called the National Football League, and he won't bother you anymore
@thekatman2 Do you know anything about our seniors? They came to the team when we were 1-11. Therefore, they are unlikely to be the "full complEment" (learn how to spell. That's not a "compliment.") of ESPN150 recruits that USC could attract 4-5 years ago. Fleener is the only senior member of the Trees Amigos. But hypotheticals are useless if your player can't even hold onto the football...
"If you actually compare what they've done vs. the same teams, Matt's actually outperformed Andrew. That's with a bunch of new kids and all these freshmen around him playing. Besides, stanford and SC are running offenses that pass. We just pass more.
@thekatman2 might I remind you that Barkley is bless with probably two of the best wide receivers in the country, Robert Woods and Marquise Lee? Both of which have over 1K receiving yard. Lets face it, Andrew Luck is just pure talent. He had less to work with, especially in the wide receiver position, yet he still churns out great results for Stanford. Andrew Luck is a once in a generation person, and in my eyes I see no one even remotely as good as Andrew Luck.

Brent Musburger made that statement before he watched Matt Barkley play this year. Also, Luck didn't beat USC in 3 OT win. SC fumbled the ball into the endzone. Stanford wins. Barkley had better stats in that game, and has better stats this year than Andrew Luck.

Barkley, for all things a football team leader should be, is the best QB in the country.
@thekatman2 Luck was the only reason stanford had a chance against USC. He doesn't play defense so it's n ot the defense wasn't able to cover woods and lee. Barkley plays in a system whose main form of attack is the pass. Stanford is a run first team with Andrew Luck throwing as a compliment to that. His stats could've been much higher if he played in a system that resembles USC's. If you're talking about stats you should also consider the team around each of the quarterbacks.
@thekatman2Stanford has a lot of talent but it clearly lacks it in wide receiver. I don't want to go to much into that because that's neither of the qbs faults but when you have to guys with breakaway speed and an offense that is explosive it's easier to throw.
@thekatman2 I don't know where you're getting your numbers from, but it seems pretty clear to me that Luck had a better game than Barkley in the Stanford-USC game. On the year, the only thing Barkley has done better than Luck is having a lower interception rate. The fact that Barkley's overall numbers are higher is completely due to the fact that USC passes a lot more than Stanford does.
@thekatman2 wow you are a clueless homer. Not like I need any more evidence to argue with your Barkley blabber, but Luck and Barkley have faced each other three times. All three times, Barkley had more offensive talent. And all three times, Andrew Luck beat Matt Barkley.
If you ask me who has the better Heisman credentials, RG3 does and should win it but Luck will win it only cause the media is upsesed with him. As for whose more important to their team, Stanford is a run first team, theyd win 8 or 9 games without Luck, thats not the case with Baylor
@viktorchilo At least Andrew Luck probably knows how to spell "obsessed." In case you were wondering, the little squiggly red line beneath a word means that it's spelled wrong.

@littlesolly First, Stanford is 11-1. Baylor is 9-3. Both are damn good records for teams that were pretty in the dumps not too long ago.
Now lets look closer at RGIII's losses:
@ KState: 23-31, 346 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT
@TAMU: 28-40, 430 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
@OKST- 33-50, 425 yards, 1 TD, 1 rushing TD, 1 INT
Now lets look at Luck's loss:
HOME vs. Oregon- 27-41, 256 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
RG3 also has a 21 point 2nd half comeback victory and TWO signature wins against ranked opponents.
