I agree. "Nuclear Fire" was the atomic metal bomb that "Painkiller" never was. I always thought Painkiller was a bit overrated and like all of Priest's albums suffered from a lousy production.

Thank the stars Scheepers got rejected by Priest. They spiraled down the toilet after Painkiller and are on their last legs now. Judas Priest woul've been a waste of his talent.

Scheepers never auditioned for Priest. He was shortlisted and was one of JP's top ten candidates for the job based on his recordings with Gamma Ray and Tyran Pace but he received a letter saying JP would not be holding any auditions as they had found their man out of the blue in Ripper Owens.
