Oh my God! I was just Googling my long-lost friend Chris and found... this! I'm just tearful and speechless! I remember discussing her early drafts of "Dolphin Girl" with her back when it was "Dolphin Boy". And I remember how DELIGHTED she was when I told her my arthritic dog loved the shiatzu massage she showed me on her giant cat. Thank you so much for this beautiful vid. I wish I had known sooner and could have seen her again, could have mourned her with other people who love her.
With Christiane's passing, I learned a valuable lesson in life. We didn't know each other that well, despite our continually gravitating toward each other at the AWD meetings. There were so many times that we said that we had to work together and that we should set up a meeting. We never did. How I wish we had. Those brief moments with Christiane reflected her tremendous generosity of spirit. Alas, the more I get to know about her now, the more I admire her...and miss her!
Christiane was such a sweet spirit. She was my script supervisor on my short film CLICK THREE TIMES and was always helpful, non intrusive yet powerful in her skill. I always believed in her abilities to go farther in her career. I miss her and know that she is swimming free.
wow I can really see/feel her androgyny in these opening young images. How curious. My god that's great to see her "ride the wild dolpin!" I guess it must be somewhat comforting to know her life was rich beyond measure and how she arranged to have documented her last days among friends both out of and under the sea. A director to the end.
Aw, that was sweet and touching, Cassandra; brought tears to my eyes. You're certainly right: I will never forget Christiane. She was such a talent, such a creative force. I can't think of anyone else who was so good at so many things. She was extraordinarily perceptive and kind to animals, and a dear friend to many. I miss her, and surely always will.
