Im not apart of this but i can answer your question. I basically asked in Prayer is Jesus Christ true and to show me though tangible means. Tangible means was Game, and probability. i had short prayer saying if you true and you love me you show me, (i know testing god but only way to turn to god) then it happen out 2Billion different seeds out there i got map asked for (each seed different not 2 equal), but to answer Ur other question it because parents told you xor blind faith.

@soMeRandoM670 You can't simply assume my parents taught me in blind faith. I have done my studies for many other churches, but the LDS church is where I know I need to be. Answers to prayers don't come in large revealations, they came in small bits and pieces and you just have to look for them.

The BOM also makes it clear that the Mormon god was always god and therefore couldn't have possibly attained exaltation because that concept isn't mentioned, explained, or even implied in the BOM whatsoever.

@soMeRandoM670 This point shows us that the faith has been evolving over the years; the original BOM was very clear about there being only one God and that Jesus and God were one in the same. It wasn't until the second edition that a conscious effort was put into separating them, the three words "the Son of" being added to key phrases to show that they are disctinctly different.

@BrotherDeWalt Ah the sticks or "aits", you can also find these same sticks in 1 Kings 17:12 & 2 Kings 6:1-7. Ezekiel 37 has nothing to say about the Book of Mormon. By using two literal sticks, Ezekiel was illustratively predicting the coming together of two nations, Judah and Israel, which had been separated since the time of King Rehoboam, nothing more.

@BrotherDeWalt Other than the Mormon jesus and god were separate and distinct, the notion of eternal progression, that the Mormon god was once a man and that we can become gods, too. In fact, the BOM has three added words, "the Son of" to 1 Nephi 11:21, 11:32, and 13:40 which cleanly separate the concept of God and Jesus into separate and distinct beings, but this wasn't the case in the 1830 edition, was it?

How did the Mormon god forget something so simple?

@moparmonster1965 The Bible interpretion has been modified hundreds if not thousands of times to conform to the certain beliefs of a certain church system. Some words have even been changed. There is only one Book of Mormon and I am sure far in the future it will end up being just like the Bible, changed and twisted. Book of Mormon editing was to fix any typos or misunderstandings. The last modification to the Book of Mormon was in th 1930's, whats your point?

The parts of the BOM that are fundamentally flawed have to stay because too many people are watching now. Any changes will be spotted and dragged out into tthe light; that's the reason that the church never makes a public statment about its problematic texts; they let their apologist flunkies do the work for them and keep telling the faithful that theirs is the only true interpretation. That's the best position they can assume, given the major issues facing the church.

And no, the changes to the BOM continue today. The introduction was changed a few years ago in the light of the DNA flap. The old editions read that the ficitonal Lamanites were the primary ancestor of the American Indians to being 'one of' their ancestors. Just a few words added ot deleted can fundamentally change the entire meaning of a passage, can't it?

@BrotherDeWalt You can view it that way, yes, but you're still going to be wrong. What it means is the reunification of the tribes of Judah that were split after the death of King Solomon. The two sticks symbolize the northern and southern kingdoms coming together under the leadership of the onbe true God.

What proof? "I will make them one nation...and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all." (Ezek. 37:22)

This essentially says that Christ's sacrifice was incomplete and only partially effective and that works are needed to complete the equation, and thus, man becomes his own savior.

When Christ died, what happened? The temple cutrain was rent in twain, wasn't it? This showed that the barriers between God and man, erected by the sins of Adam, were cast aside for a real relationship with God, something that no demonimation can accomplish.

@soMeRandoM670 The problem is that the 'other sheep' argument doesn't actually hold any water because while John 10:16 doesn't tell us who they are, Romans10:19 and 29 do; they are the Gentiles who are not seeking the savior, which leaves the fictional Nephites out because they couldn't shut up about the Mormon jesus (which makes one wonder how they knew what his name would be so ling before His birth).

I find that more likely that Jesus Christ lives than, probability of JS writing from concepts of bible and writing it by him self with no help. the computer analysis was only 1:1Billion that he wrote this by him self due to different writing styles i laughed at this pitiful number. Base probability is 2Billion(non-negotiable) to 1 part chance, highest i calc is 567Billion(Jesus did it) to 1 part chance

@soMeRandoM670 The problem with this assessment is that the BOM shows that the fictional ancient Americans spoke Elizabethan English over 2,000 years before the regional-specific dialect (yea, ye, thee, thy, thou) evolved and in addition, we find parts of the King James' Version of the Bible in it. That's miraculous, indeed, since the BOM plates supposedly predate the first published version of the Bible by some 2,200 years.

@BrotherDeWalt Unfortunately, while the fictional Moroni spoke of a gospel concept stolen from the Bible, the fact is that modern Mormonism has nothing to do with that same Gospel. The Mormon gospel is one of exaltation and attaining godhood, not salvation through God's grace even though we don't deserve it, as found in the Bible.
