dude that looks like a bitchin skimmer, you should totally do a how to vid on how you made it and include the dimensions and cost of all the materials. I think most of us would appreciate you doing that.

i used a powerhead. its simple just make the venturi hole bigger. and cut it in a 45 deg angle and dont face it in where the flow is going to prevent back flow

@janjannunez oh my! Why is verturi hole? iVe seen other designs of protein skimmer but im interested in your design. The only detail that ive been missing is how did you connect it and how did a powerhead made so much bubbles? Other used wood airstone, But im amazed that you used just a powerhead. Please help
@babaganuc465 thanks! wooden airstones are not available in our place so i have to find other method. there are lots of bubbles because the hole is big. thanks for the compliment!

how long does this protein skimmer been running? im a newby and i would like to try making one like yours first before buying expensive protein skimmer

i've used PRECISION pump.i got it from a local pet store here in Naga City, Philippines.it has an output of 1000 l/h and it is 20 watts. i have the same pump that i got 2 years ago and it amazed me that it is working as good as my new one.
