I know this version of venom was easier. But a lot of times I would go this way on purpose because I felt like a badass charging through Venom and tearin ass!
does anyone realize that the scene where fox flies out of the tunnel after Andries dies is strikingly similar to the scene in return of the Jedi when the falcon escapes the death star? I think nintendo ripped that scene for star fox!

Have you seen the red numbers on the top left screen? He was doing that to get more combinations so he can get a combo. If they're red, that means you've met the expected number of enemies defeated, and you get a medal. If you collect all of the medals, expert mode is unlocked. Unlock THOSE medals, and you get more secrets such as the sound test and the option of playing Fox in multiplayer with a gun instead of the arwing.

In reality, StarFox Command is hard enough, but Assault is better than Adventures. Just stay away from Adventures, it's not good, but the total lack of what made the StarFox series great, made for a bad game.

If you don't lock on to anything, you can charge as the shot is being fired, and can fire as soon as the shot detonates. If you locked on to something, you have to wait for the shot to hit its target before being able to charge again.
I know that now, I didn't then. I played another emulator run on expert, left it with 284. 271 is my current best on VE1 too, so it's one of those emulation scores that I haven't beaten yet.

I have seen your Zoness video, and I tried doing what you did there on my real copy. With a couple of restarts, I managed a 310, which is pretty good since my previous personal best was only 260.
Wow, nice improvements! Only 10 hits below my own video. If only you could master breaking, then you'd have quite a few records on your hands. And don't worry, I had the same dilemma with beginning to break. If you notice in my first Area 6 video (or my Solar one) I didn't break ONCE. I eventually went into the breaking habit with my N64 controller.

In expert Venom 1 is WAAAAAY harder than Venom 2. I always found it weird it was the "easy path".

It's a bitch to finish. It took me 3 months to finish Expert. It's worth it if you ever want to play Fox in multiplayer... without the arwing.

200, that's the same medal score for both Venom versions, and the medal counts to both versions as well.

I'd say, try practicing your stuff on your N64 more, start breaking, then you might just have some World Rankings on your hands! =)
