The Netgear GS108s that were built in 2007 have capacitors that burn up in about a year. They will replace them. Or if you are handy with a soldering iron you can replace the capacitors yourself. They need to be 1000uF 10V capacitors. I chose to fling mine against a wall after they told me I voided the warranty when I opened it to look at the capacitors.
iv hade like two Netgear switches and and both died with in about a year just went back to my old Linksys hub thats about 5years old and works like new

because netgear is crap, and so is D-link.
Linksys is somewhat ok, and now that they are owned by Cisco they are much better.
Get a Cisco product, u wont regret it. I have 2 Linksys Cisco RV082's have had them scince like 2002 or so and they still work GREAT to this day.
